What are you driving now and would you get the new 991?

My understanding is that Porsche Exclusive was given the task of developing the Sport Exhaust on the 991. They received high praise from PAG for creating the 'special' Sport Exhaust option for the Spyder and Cayman R which has been a huge success and it's extremely well liked by those customers! Let's see what they can do this time around on the 991. Saludos, z356

ONLY IF the Electrical streering and the overall new dynamics of 991 has not dumb down the 911 feel.

Will keep my 997.1 until the 50th year anniversay 991 addition is available, and only after I drive it. The other option is to wait for a nice 997.2 GTS or GT3 to be traded in on a 991. I am just not in love with the new interior. I've got to see it live.

6GT3 here and will likely wait for the next GT3. I couldn't justify the price differential for a one generation jump, but I would feel a lot better skipping a generation. But only if it really is awesome. There is something about the 6GT3 that keeps it in the garage.

I have a 2006 BMW M5 that I bought new and I am looking at a new Carrera S or the new C63 AMG Coupe Black Series. Leaning (80%) towards the Carrera S in the spring in black with beige leather.

I have my 10 GT3 and was originally planning to get on the list for an order allocation for a 991 GT3 (probably 2013 model). I am already rethinking it based on the Carrera S having 20" wheels standard that so will the new GT3. I looked at what 20" MPSCs or Corsas would run and it is $900 a tire for the rear. This is going to put it as a price point where to drive it at the track simply won't make economic sense. There are also several quirky things between the interior and exterior I just don't like. I am also suspecting based on the increasing cost of the Carrera S that the next GT3 will be significantly more expensive, $10k-15K over the current model and would expect the next RS to base price over $150K. I'll wait and see as information comes out if there is anything to change my mind, but I am not going to get in early to get an order allocation as I did with my 10' GT3.

Current Porsche: 07 GT3RS - purchased last summer. This is my dream car.
It's the best car I have ever driven; find a nice twisty road & you'll be grining from ear to ear. Porsche really have done an incredible job.
But.... like everything else, something new comes along & you start thinking....hum...991...hum....
That being said, I'm going to wait for the 991GT3/RS. I want to see/drive it & at the same time see what happens to the 997 GT3RS Mk.1 & 2 market. Being the last of the Metzger cars maybe they'll hold their values; future classics?

I have a 996TT now and in a few years I will start looking for a nice used 991 C4S if the new motor turns out to be solid. When I bought my 996TT I considered a 996 or 997 C4S but the M96/97 motor issues put me off so I spent the extra $$$ for a GT1 in a Turbo.
I actually like the narrower 2WD body better but my driveway is too steep for 2WD in the winter.
