Hmm, front looks very similar to 997, which is good news (yet still have to see the front headlights clearly), rear is totally different and so far it looks ugly.
The brakes look SMALL in those 20inch wheels... not digging the wheels!

similar to the 964/993 differences...front and side look better on the 991, back looks much better on the 997. Still after all the hand-wringing, I'd say better than expected...

The rear bumper is one fugly mother. I sure hope those are not reflectors at the bottom. Last time I liked reflectors, I was 10 and I got a new bike. And the rear lights are too recessed for my liking.
But, as others have said, it's nothing we can't get over. Plus the new interior will easily make up for all the exterior imperfections, the car will be a major success, ours will lose an additional 20% of it's value and Porsche will live happily ever after. The end.
So I have 10 bucks that say this thread will be dead 2 days after official unveiling.

I can't help but think the rear styling is the result of sacrifice. Seems like they wanted to make it sleek with a lower roofline and longer wheelbase, but didn't realize until after building one with the engine moved forward that it wouldn't fit the body lines they wanted, and then they had to redesign the back around the engine.
The car is sleek looking, but for some reason it doesn't seem to 'flow'

I think all of these cars are the narrow body variant. If you look at photos of the new turbo version you can see differences as that car has the wide body. Specifically, that car has a lower body sill attachment that these narrow body cars don't have. Overall, I think the 991 is an improvement looks wise but I'd wait for a wide body variant as I think that version will look the best.

The Blue pics look very nice to me, love the GT3 type wheels. It looks a little bit more "exotic" if I can use that term, from the front. The rear ? hmmm not so much.
Engine moved forward a tiny bit, or is the extra room just for rear leg room?
If the engine is a bit forward, the handling is going to be discussed as much as the PDK was I bet.
