These two sure look different to my eye. Yellow one much more compact. Is it me or doesn't the blue car have more body both front and rear? The yellow car looks sweet. The blue one? Did they increase the wheel base?

I like the design well enough, but not enough to want to trade in. To me, it's too "aero" looking. I was hoping they were going to bring back a little bit of the buxom and curvy look of the 993 and older.

That blue one looks like the new spec wheel base. And it looks BIG!
Nice looking. Or at least way nicer than the Pan. But B I G.

I can really see the added length between the rear of the door and the front of the rear wheel opening. Also, not to keen on the smaller engine cover which further restricts owner/mechanic access to the engine compartment. Do like the mirrors!

Promising. It looks like the wheel arches, the fronts paricularly, have a bit more flare to them than on the 997 and 996, resembling the shoulders and hips of the 993. Very nice.
Love the mirrors mounted on the doors. The longer wheel base doesn't change much from an appearance standpoint.
I am not so sure about those very narrow tail lights. Very Asian.

You've got to admire Porsche's ability to 'evolve' the design of the 911, retaining the same basic shape for almost 50 years.
I think the 991 is looking pretty good. Tail-lights are kind of 'skinny' (see the rear shots of the yellow car), but overall, the car is a nice update on the 997. Looking forward to seeing one in person.

With the rear wheels pushed back there is less sheet metal back there to work with. I think they had to truncate the tail a bit and make it slightly less tapered or the overall proportions would have been screwed up.
