The Ruf 911 V8 presented last year is really a prototype for the new driveline in the 991.
Piech is Ferdinant Porsche grandson and he always considered Ruf the ultimate Porsches, hence he allwed them to build them under manufacturer status. C'mon really, how could Ruf develope their own V8 that's better then the flat six and claim to make miney at just 300 engines?!

I know for an absolute fact that Porsche (Volkswagen) has bought out Ruf last year as I was part of the inside deal broker concern group. It's very hush, hush all but Volkswagen will make a huge anouncement soon about adding more lower end niche marques like Bugatti, Maserati, Ruf and a few others' in their quest to dominate as the number 1 auto maker in the world...

Porsche predicts future tracks will have upside down loops and tubes, the glass roof will be used to spot the apex point above you before entering the tube or loop

It has an electric motor and a 4.0L 9A1 engine parallelly driving a 8-speed PDK gearbox. In Race Hybrid mode it will provide overboost hp/torque when accelerating and existing corners. And in E-Drive mode it can run in pure electric for zero-emission city maneuvering.
