Default Stolen front splitter

Parked the car on the street to take out my woman to a nice dinner. When I came back some lowlife took a 5 finger discount on my front sport spoiler lip. New one is ordered. Is there any way to secure this piece so another one won’t walk away? Seems they only clip into place and are all too easy to remove without tools.

Probably not much you can do short of drilling holes and using zip ties or gluing it and I would think the damage could be worse if someone tries to rip it off the. Not many things that are easier to remove than the front lip. Just be glad it’s a fairly cheap and easy to replace. I suppose the only thing that would be easier to remove are the front side marker lights. Just seems like a limited black market for such parts.

Are you sure you didn’t lose it on a parking bumper? That happened to a friend of mine on his 997 GTS.

Yeah, I don't think anyone stole your splitter.

Hard to believe! A couple of lifetimes ago, in the MGA era, the aluminum rim windows were a popular item with the low life's. :-) Some things never change …..

I've been through 6 of them. They fall off easy, get snagged on parking lot stops, etc. No one stole it.

I finally zip tied the current one.

Get a dashcam with parking mode, worth it for stuff like this and traffic related incidents.

Doesn’t seem like something a thief would want. Not something he could easily sell for cash.

Ha! Sure the spoiler was mounted the same day. The guy saved $ 300 :-) In that other life, I actually found my MGA windows on another car …. twice! At the indestructible age, I swapped them out … youth is a wonderful thing.
