Front license plate bracket
Looking for ideas on mounting my front license plate without drilling holes in the bumper cover where they can be seen. Texas still requires a front plate. It’s a 2018 911 T

That’s what I use. Tow hook attachment.

None of my Porsche friends who live in Texas (30-ish people with 50+ cars) bother with a front plate, and to my knowledge none of them have issues with LE.
but if you have to do it, the tow hook mount is probably the best way to go.

If you have mesh grills in your center opening, you can just buy a license plate frame and zip tie the frame to the grill. Is what I did.
There are also YouTube vids and posters on RL who have used magnets to hold their plates to the bumper. Glue earth magnets behind the bumper, magnets on you plate or plate holder with felt on them to prevent scratching.

This one looks great. Mine was already drilled when I bought it, but if I ever have it repaired and resprayed, I'd go this way, since I live in a heavy enforcement state (MD).

I made a magnetic mount using the OE bracket.
Most of the time I run plateless but carry the mag mount with me.

I have used the tow hook mounts before ( from axle mower company , he was the first to go tow hook) but they tend to activate the bumper sensors . The carbinio model looks good . I don’t want to block the center opening as I plan to do the center radiator at some point

When I lived in Texas I was pulled over twice in my Boxster for lacking a front plate. I created a bracket that inserted into the center (dummy) intake. I used double-side tape so no holes required. When I got my 991, I recreated the same thing.

FYI, I have center radiator, and I have had no issues.

Previous owner installed a drilled-in (factory) plate bracket in the front bumper of mine, so I'm trying to figure out how to turn back time and remove the holes.
But my state also has a front-plate requirement, so not doing anything seems to be the easiest solution at this point.

Thanks. Here is the thread I made that has all the details, plus a template for the holder.

Houston local here, I haven't installed a front plate nor have had any issues (knock on wood), but if you feel like you need one, rennline has a license plate mount that can be installed through the tow hook.
