Default Powder-coated wheels. Need center caps

Just had my 13 CS wheels powdercoated from silver to a darker gunmetal - I like the color, but really chose it to hide the brake dust. Also had 15/10mm spacers installed when they put the wheels back on. They hand painted the center caps to match, but the paint scrapes off easily with a light brush of a fingernail. Any suggestions on aftermarket center caps? Was thinking something all black. The actual color of the wheels is a bmw shade and I think if I try to use a similar Porsche shade it will look off. Any suggestions welcomed…

Just order some from suncoast Porsche. They have some that are similar to that color.

No harm at all, I don't have them. They are usually covered in surface rust but remove it with a wire brush. Then paint it black or clear to seal it.

If the center cap color doesn’t match exactly, would that look weird? I have the platinum color factory and don’t think they have a platinum satin cap in the turbo tie black logo, which is what I was looking for…

you can find pictures in the Apex wheels thread, a lot of people have used factory Porsche caps with the Apex anthracite wheels, which are slightly lighter than the platinum, so the caps are a shade or two darker. Most people don’t seem bothered by it.

NI

I still have these from my 2012.5 C2S (sold). The owner I bought it from had them custom machined out of aluminum. Ridiculous how much he spent to have it done IMO but they did look good. Let me know if you’re interested I’d sell them for $200. Very unique if you like the look.

2012 991 C2S, Agate Grey in and out, PDK, Sport Chrono, Burmester.

I’m assuming you’re referring to the rust around the axle bolts? Mine are pretty rusty - simple wire brush should do the job?

Could it be a simple matter of a poor prep job on the caps they painted?

Just thinking out loud, those don't look too far off from the color of 991.2 Carrera T wheels. Might be worth looking into their center caps.
