If you're braking that much deeper than a 4RS Clubsport then either there's a driver skill gap or "ish" is doing a lot of work in your post title...

Thanks for sharing.

Mostly the ish, the club was gapping me in the turns. I was getting it all back and some in the straights.

I've been running the APR ecu/tcu tune and I'm very happy with it. Came from a Cobb pro-tune.
Recently I've been running the 100octane map, which APR says is +28whp over the 93 tune. It feels like a lot more. I'm consistently 3-4 mph faster in the straights on track. And the 93 tune will trap at 132 in the 1/4 mile!

LOL - 152 on the front straight is crazy! That thing is crazy fast! Have you dyno'd to get any HP numbers? 550?

What are you doing for fuel to run the 100oct tune? Are you mixing in E85? If so, could be the E85 is just keeping everything a bit cooler. I want to say it has lower combustion temps than unleaded gasoline.

We have a couple of these “S-ish” in our regions club, and they are always beating the snot out of everything else.

Great lap!

APR's dyno sheet for the 100 tune on gts tubo's and aftermarket IC's is 578whp. But I also have cat bypass, akra muffler, Tial inlets and elbows, and a intercooler water sprayer..... I had a 154 on the straight during one of the laps - that's the same as a pro-driven 992 cup (Will from WR Tecknica). And he has a 10mph faster T9 exit.

I'm just filling up at the track with 100 unleaded, don't know if or how much E85 they mix in. The local tracks are charging $8.50 for 91, and $10-12 for 100. So it it's really not a lot more to run the 100 tune.

@fsmich ..any suspension and/or brake upgrades?

From the picture it looks like you have some APEX wheels and have gone to studs. Maybe there is an AP Braking kit behind those?

Cheers!

I've had all my suspension work done by Joey at Emotion, his shop is 6 miles away We started with a switch to SPASM springs, then front LCA's for more camber, and finally all arms and bushings he carries for the carrera's/turbo's. My goal was track focused, but still street driveable. Joey recommended KW 3-way Clubsports, and they have impressed me. Springs and shocks make a huge difference in confidence on the track.

I have the AP competition brake kit. The black calipers don't discolor, and the kit is 15lbs lighter than stock calipers with girodisc rotors. Not so great is the pads are part of the weight savings - 3.4lbs lighter than gt3 fronts/oem rears. They don't last long!

Ah, race track gas, the good stuff They use VP Racing fuel at Willow Springs. Probably ethanol free too.
