Default Do 5mm spacers need extended lug bolts?

Bought my T used with 5 mm front spacers. I use car mostly for DD, but also track a few times a year on dedicated track wheels/tires. Are OEM lug bolts long enough or should I buy longer ones (or remove spacers)?

The bolts go into the hub which is only about 10MM thick. If you use a bolt that's 5MM shorter then You've reduced the grip length by half. You already have longer lug bolts, so just use those. If you remove the spacer and use the longer lug bolts, there have been occurrences where the bolt sticks through the hub and locks up the wheel.

Porsche ships 5mm OEM equipped cars with Stock regular sized bolts, hope this helps

Correction: My above statement is incorrect

I should have pointed out that the spacers are aftermarket. Looks like I should get 5 mm(ish) longer lug bolts.
Recommended sources?

When I bought my OEM 5mm spacers from Suncoast, they came with longer OEM lug bolts. Don't know if that helps.

I can attest first hand that this happens, though in my case it was after removing 10mm spacers. Will never make that mistake again.

This is not the case on my 2013 Carrera S with 5mm spacers from factory (option XRP). The lug bolts are longer (guessing 5mm longer, although I'm unsure) and they are identified by anodized red conical seat to indicate they are the longer bolts. Here are a few reference pics. I don't believe most of the aftermarket bolts are a different color from looking around online.

HI just got off the phone with Suncoast and they did not say anything about shipping with lugs. Did you have to but them additionally? Lastly does the 5mm just fill the wheel well and tire does not extend beyond?

Thanks all. I'll just remove a rear lug bolt (no spacer) and a front one and compare lengths. If front same length, I'll buy 5mm longer ones. Cheers.

Spacers 5mm and above require longer lug bolts.

Switch to studs and nuts, forget about needing anything longer or shorter. Run different size spacers or wheels with out problems. and because RACE CAR.
