Aftermarket batteries can mess up the Porsche electrical system??

Wow, wow, wow. Learned a new way to scam people.

Guess they are getting into the Holiday Spirit.

Geeze.

I'd love to have him tell me how. I'm telling you, this is better than going to Yuk Yuks for a comedy show.

OK, at this point they're actively lying to you. Not good to hear, because they do all my service work.

Do you feel comfortable disclosing the name of your service advisor there?

It’s bad, isn’t it? Feels quite violating.

It’s bad enough that I already had them do my 90k service and a drive belt replacement. Expensive lesson learned, but at least I dodged this bullet.

@Bluey as a Rennlist goodwill gesture, come by my shop and we can install the battery and I will perform the programming gratis!

Battery change is 10mins under the hood including finding tools, programming is 10mins including turning the kettle on.

Get all of this in writing from the service advisor and take it to the dealer principal and pcna, shameful.

I’m headed there now to pick up the 911 so I’ll try to get everything in writing.

I’ve already got another quote from Porsche Lynnwood for the pdk clutch and gearbox service - $2000 after tax. That’s a full $1000 less than Porsche Bellevue.

I think I’m going to wait until Monday to get a quote from Cantrell Motorsports and then I’ll make the decision from there.

$295/hour in Western WA. $600 oil changes for my Cayenne and 991. Ya, I’ll pass. The service writer gave me a nice condescending smirk when I said I’d continue doing my own service work. Might be time for a QuickJack.

LMAO.

You should have given him the bird.

Quickjacks are awesome.

Update:

It just keeps getting better…

I just went into the dealership to pick up the 991 and tell them I’m not doing any other service (just did 90k service) and they gouged the leather on my drivers seat and left two scratches that I can feel with my finger nail in my back bumper.

I am not happy right now.
