I may be naive, but I just bought a 991.2 c4s with 67 on the clock. I don't have any worries - 1, because I've spent years tinkering with VAG products, 2, because I know the general VW part is incredibly resistant to abuse as compared to japanese and american counterparts, and 3, I probably won't daily a 911 for more than a year. I do want to have a family at some point and this isn't the most practical car to keep for that scenario.
But then again, this is my first Porsche and I could be way off. I'm happy to be wrong, but my experience tells me otherwise. I beat the ever living ****e out of my Audi's and they held up without much support. I'd have to imagine that the high line brand is at least as durable, albeit more expensive when things go awry.

Are you saying you think a 991.2 base with 60k miles will sell for $50k by February?

I bought my 2017 this June with 13k on the clock certified. The dealership did the 40k service prior to delivery. Today I have 21k on it and it runs just as well. I use it every day and drive it hard. Don't worry about it. These are meant to be driven, not stared at and wiped with a diaper. I'll do regular maintenance as recommended through a trusted independent shop here in Seattle. Whatever they recommend, I'll do. It's cheaper than buying another one. Buy it and drive the hell out of it.

Just wanted to say thanks again for all the great advice. I decided to put a pause on it until the market softens a bit more, but all great advice from different angles.

I ran into a guy at Newport cars and coffee with a 2003 911 turbo with 675K miles. It’s his daily driver and he tracks it. 40K miles Is nothing.

40k is nothing on a 991. Check if the car has been taken back to dealer for any potential recall as the car might not have seen the dealer as much as needed since the previous owner did the maintenance themselves.
As long as the car is well maintained and taken care of, you should have no outstanding issues.
Interior should like fairly new, these 991 interiors are solid.
Enjoy!
