Default Questions about wheels

Hi All,

I'm having a hard time understanding what wheels fit which 911 bodies. As I understand it, there are different fitments (I assume just offset) for narrow body and wide body cars. I'm asking because I would like to swap my RS Spyder design wheels from my narrow body 991.2 for a set of satin Carrera Sport or Sport Classic II style wheels. I'm up to buy new, buy a clean used set or trade with another owner.

Whenever I search for a pre-owned set, I get hits from boxsters, cayennes and other models, with very little info on actual wheel specs, so I'm afraid to pull the trigger.

It also seems like Carrera Sport wheels are no longer offered new - but I struggle to believe Porsche would just discontinue something that soon after a model run.

Any help would be much appreciated. I figured the general questions in this topic that would help others as well.

Questions:
1. What is the bolt pattern, hub diameter and offset for 991.2 5 lug models?
2. Are there any good websites or resources that compare the sizes of Porsche wheels (coming from BMWs, I use this site whenever I'm cross shopping: http://www.bmwstylewheels.com/X/X3-E83 )

Edit: This German Site has a good listing of all 991 wheels with technical info: https://teile.com/en/porsche-tequipm...l-rim-sets/218

3. Does Porsche use the same bolt pattern and hub diameter for other cars (IE: 991.1, 981, 718, Macan, etc) or are wheels from other models not compatable with each other?
4. Does anyone have a good source for OEM Porsche wheels for our 991? - I've looked at Suncoast and it seems like the Carrera Sport wheels are discontinued. The Porsche Tequipment site is borderline unusable from a search and U/I perspective.
5. Besides the marketplace here, what sites do people use to find / swap pre-owned Porsche parts?

Edit: For reference I did find a 991 online parts catalog from Suncoast here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1T6e...N1Z5dBRyi/view

Edit again: removed potentially offending content.

Porsche has offered many wheels for the 991 over the years:
1. All 5 bolt series have a 5x130 bolt spacing.
2. They have offered both 19 and 20 inch wheel diameters. If your current car has 20" wheels then 19" may not clear your brake rotor assemblies. If you currently have 19" wheels then you can get either 19" or 20" wheels.
3. The offsets are very important and I advise you to stick to offsets very close to the original factory offsets.
4. Any of the reputable wheel vendors can tell you if a wheel you want will fit your vehicle.

I hope this helps.

Good points from Jim M, but please still be careful with Point #4. A reputable dealer recently suggested a set with the following specs for a 991.1 NB:
20x9.0 et48
20x11.5 et46

Current OEM wheels on my 991.1 narrow body (sport technos)
20x9.0 et51
20x11.5 et68

I wouldn’t go as far as to say the guy was wrong, but swapping to rears with that offset would be similar to adding a 22mm spacer to my current rear wheels. I wasn’t comfortable with that. Just be aware that dealer suggestions can be influenced by availability, and/or assumptions of “fit” that may not align with yours

Thanks for the info so far.
After a day of research, here's what I learned:
The site I posted above for BMWs also covers Porsches:
https://www.wheel-size.com/size/pors...rrera-eudm-380

Narrow body cars (C2 / C2S) are
5 * 130 Bolt Pattern
8.5" width fronts ET 49 to 51 offset
11.5" width rears ET 68 to 78 offset (mostly 76 to 78)

Wide body cars (C4/C4S/GTS & 5 bolt turbos)
5*130 Bolt Pattern
8.5" - 9" Width ET 49 to 51
11.5" rear ET 48 to 56

All 5 bolt 991s use a 71.6mm Center bore

so fronts are compatable among all 911s.

Macans run ET 19 - 21 and 5 * 112 bolt pattern and 66.5 center bore so they are completely out.
718s run ET 57 front and 10" ET 50 rears, 5*130, 71.6 bore so they don't fit without spacers/machining.

992s run 5*130 71.6 bore mostly 8.5" - 9..5" ET 53 +/- front and 11" - 12" ET 67 +/- rears... so they may fit 991 narrow body cars, but not wide body.

Below quote is from a different thread, addressing 991.x narrow body factory options. Not sure how well this aligns with above data, and if it doesn’t, not sure which is correct.

I have a 991.1 narrow body with Sport Techno Wheels, possibly changing to 991.2 Carrera S narrow body Carrera wheels.

991.1 Sport Techno Rears are 11.5x20 ET 68
991.1 Carrera S Rears are 11.0x20 ET 70
991.2 Carrera S Rears are 11.5x20 ET 76

Does anyone know if that is within tolerances for fit? I have ceramic breaks so don't want any risks on rotor damage. ET 68 to 76 is 8MM so less than a third of inch. The wheel width difference is half an inch so thinking its not an issue. Difference between 991.1 and 991.2 Wheels is only 6MM so < 1/4 of an inch. Has anyone run 991.2 wheels on a 991.1?

Fronts do not seem like an issue 2MM difference is negligible
991.1 Sport Techno front are 9x20 ET 51
991.1 Carrera S front are 8.5x20 ET 51
991.2 Carrera S front are 8.5x20 ET 49

thanks. I found this in another thread as well. I figured the more info captured here the better for future searchers.

^ Above is best of my knowledge, and I encourage others to check the info; PCNA's configurator lists a number of 991.2 S/4S/GTS offsets incorrectly, which doesn't help matters. Please also note that there is an "XXL" extra wide body for the 991, used for the 911 Turbo/S and GT3/GT2 RS—but those live in their own forums.
