That wasn’t really my point. But yes financing (if you must), is best with a credit union. And if you’re positioned to pay in cash even better.

My point was more on the lines that your average consumer will get a rate today that is high enough to negate the savings on the sale of the car.

So this whole thread and waiting for the sky to fall and picking up a Porsche cheap is completely moot.

Sorry I wasn’t clear with my question.

I meant how much below msrp for used. Generally I am seeing 20% plus or minus 5.

I got offers from Carmax and KBB, but they were too low. One Porsche dealer was lower than those two. I've called or requested online quotes from three other Porsche dealerships and Carvana, and none have responded. Most of the dealers around here have more inventory (at least used) than in previous months this year. Seems I've missed the window. I'll guess I'll just keep driving and enjoying my 991.1 Not a bad consolation prize.

Probably better off putting the car up for sale on BaT or one of the other online auction sites if you're wanting top dollar. Then again keeping it and driving it is always a great solution.

But not if you're paying cash, then loan interest rates are immaterial.

I dunno, mrrdstr would beg to differ.

He’s back in the marketplace with an eBay link trying to sell his overpriced 911S after unsuccessful efforts on RL and, more recently, BaT. Of course, once again he got resident hype man desmotesta to laughingly shill for his new ad, and it appears his new strategy is to possibly use a shill bid on eBay. Magically, he immediately got a bid almost $20k higher than the best offer in his BaT auction. Very weird.

Gotta be careful criticizing though, as he’s protected by the mods, for obvious reasons.

Default Your thoughts?

I just picked up a super clean nicely loaded 2017 carrera with 17k miles cpo for 25% below the msrp (cpo included) I think I got a great deal. Any thoughts?

Time will tell my friend….as of right now the car will be driven back to Arizona from one of our fellow Rennlisters. Some people are willing to pay for the best of the best with unique builds let’s face it.
