DSC V3, anyone else kind of “meh”?

Tom,
Are values in a V3 before Jan 22 interpreted by the V3 after Jan 22 in the same way?
The OP mentions in the above post that he increased the Base Gforce in the sport table from 3 to 6.
Is a base Gforce of 3 the same between the old V3 versus the newest V3?
Basically the question is; if somebody is using certain values in the newest V3, if I use the same values in the old V3, would I get the same results, assuming the same car, same suspension, same etc?
Thanks

For a guy like me, a lay person when it comes to this stuff, it'd be quite interesting to have people share the particulars of their setups (cars & DSC) for the sake of comparison. Reading the other DSC thread and what I've searched online it seems there's a pretty wide chasm between happy buyers. Track junkies and daily grind traffic commuters seem to be universally happy, but they operate at the extreme ends of what the unit does for the car & driver. I find myself somewhere in the middle - I commute daily, but it's 30 miles of winding country roads in the morning and that much or more in the afternoon. I don't want to be going 90 mph as I enter a 35mph corner to enjoy the benefit of the DSC all the time, but I also don't find myself dealing with crap roads where the comfort and cushioning is of paramount importance.
Dealing with my laptop, with my body twisted around on the side of the road, making tweaks is a PITA. If my change in attitude from my OP is any indication, it's worth it...so far. But I will be making a spreadsheet before long to track the changes vs the stock settings and happy to share when it's got measurable data.

OP- Sounds like you desire more static stiffness from the suspension. May I suggest Default Rate at 10.0 in Normal mode and at 30.0 in Sport Mode.

I'm pretty good with minor increases I've made so far. Didn't take much at all to get the feel I wanted back - a good thing! I'll drive it like this for a while and make more adjustments. Frankly, there's not much else I'm seeking to improve upon at this point. I'll also be studying up on the remaining parameters that I can play with in the meantime. I will say this: given the tuneability of the unit it's no longer something I'm considering taking out of the car. Out of the box I wasn't all that jazzed but now I have endless buttons to press lol

Yeah the video narrator said don't change the offset as well. I haven't touched anything except Gforce. Although curious about the sensitivity adjustment. I need to re-watch the video as it's not clear to me what I can expect going up or down. I wish they had a pdf manual I could download and read!
Is your car base, S, GTS? Any mods like springs?

Yes I did when I first got the DSC unit. I was running VirtualBox with windows. It ran but was a bit slow. Then I updated the old Macbook Pro to High Sierra and even with the latest build of VirtualBox it became VERY slow. Too slow to be useable. So I installed the DSC software to an old PC laptop.
It should work well with a newer Macbook and Parallel. Or even maybe VirtualBox. My old Macbook Pro is Mid 2010 version.

Updating thread: I'm now FULLY sold on these units. Invested several dedicated driving days and about 500 miles to swapping between OEM controller & DSC as well as playing with DSC settings. Happy to report my initial impressions were due to ignorance and lack of driving time in good road conditions. Right now I've only adjusted three parameters: default rate - 7.0, sensitivity - 20, G rate max - 10.0.
This is the new edition with the RS tune and I will definitely be sticking with it.
For those curious, my car is a '17 C2, cobb ots stage 1 tune, TechArt springs, S brakes, 20 inch wheels, Michelin ps4s 245/305 rubber.
