I was told something relevant to this topic yesterday and just passing it along. Someone I know has been trying to buy a 991.1 GTS from the local dealer and it has been on hold due to the stop sale. He was told recently that the car would be available for sale as soon as the "fix" was implemented and that this fix involved changing the rear axle gear ratio.

That would mean a different ring and pinion. Dealers cant install buttons properly let alone open a gearbox. If thats true then youll get a gearbox IMHO.

My car was in for service last week to replace the door panels under warranty. As its a .1 PDK with sport chrono I stated that I don't approve of any software updates or anything outside of the scope for what it was in for, given the chatter of the lifted stop sale. He said they've been told there will be something regarding remediation, however, nothing has been officially released to them. Said the dealership was not yet aware of what kind of fix, only that it was yet to come down the official channels.

The dealer told him that it is an R&P change and not a software change. He has been earnestly trying to buy this car so I don't know why they would string him along with just a story. Then again, it is a car dealer....

Wha... IMO it's wayyyy too tall already, over 70mph in second gear.... I want shorter gearing. I would be happy if this car topped out at 150mph instead of nearly 200mph.
