Best change you made to your 911

I would be in the same boat if i wasnt lucky enough to include my wife in the purchase process when my first 991.1S got totaled in a crash.
I almost let the revised improvements (and there are plenty on the .2 cars) lure me into buying a .2 GTS. Was on the fence for weeks. Talking May 2020, inventory was flush and I had weeks to decide on a local .2 GTS and "T" at the local dealer... took the wife with me (also an enthusiast ) and after 3 trips to the dealer (and half dozen test drives - Thank you Porsche Southpoint) she reminded me to take a step back, and think hard about what I love about a "911".. she asked me what I really want from the car when the flare of powr/tq and launch control has subsided... and sure enough she was right.. back to the .1 cars i went. Cant thank her enough
.2 cars are better in almost every way.. just not in the way I personally want the 911 to be.. no reason for popcorn or argument..

Most impactful imo
1) soul sport cats (love the turbo whistle as much as motor growl)
2) pirelli to mich ps4s
3) h&r sport springs
ps - I sold my cab, but I had smart top on it and it is hands down the best mod for a cab ever.

Best Change for me:
- Pure luck in finding our 991.1 TTS for an absolute bargain basement price last August, before prices went nuts
- Custom installation of Escort CI and Stinger laser jammers. Total stealth installation that has saved me a minimum of $5K in tickets.
- DSC Controller - Best bang for the buck performance modification one can make. Learning how to make adjustments with the DSC Tuning software let me find the setups that work best for me in both Normal and Sport
- Adding wireless Apple Car Play to our 991

I have only done one mod to my 2017 991.2 non-pse and non sport-chrono...
I added a Soul X-pipe with anti-drone tubes.
It added much needed exhaust volume and a great exhaust tone.

It's a flip for me between carbon fiber flat bottom steering wheel and my BC Forged wheels

@Got_Corners? Looks great! This wing has been on my short list. Would love to see that wing fully deployed. Would you happen to have any pics of it deployed and/or from other angles.

@bkrantz Those are 2 'mods' that interest me.
I realize this is highly unlikely to be an issue but do these spare tires have an expiration date (due to degradation of materials)? Also, once those tires are inflated, how difficult is it to get back to the state it's in now?
Also, Nice job on the grill covers. I need a set like those.

And I have never inflated and then deflated one of these tires. I have read that they do deflate and eventually resume their folded shape.

Best updates so far on my 991.1 base:
1) New Conti extreme contact tires
2) Soul exhaust carbon fiber tips
3) numberic pedals
4) new stone guards custom made from expel
5) full front protection (LID liner and porsche cargo liner)
6) smoking package cubby thing
7) new center console lid with porsche crest
Still have a few things left on my list like trying to figure out what to do with my door panels that are starting to warp, maybe full Soul sport exhaust, either carbon or dark aluminum trim, and full paint correction.

Burning Brakes
Best Change Overall - Numeric shifter/cables. We drive manual cars for the interaction of man and machine. This elevates that interaction by quite a lot. The factory shifter and even the factory "short shifter" feel like a joke compared to the Numeric.
Next would be the AP BBK, my Litespeed Magnesium Wheels and Soul Exhaust. Functionally and aesthetically so much improved in all aspects. The brakes are incredible and give me the confidence to push hard without worrying about a thing.
The wheels are on another level of looks. They are my own custom design and there isn't another set out there like them. I never want anything to look stock or like someone else's car. I want my car to be unique. The upsizing in tires helped with grip as well. Coincidentally, I'm now running the same size tires as the new GT3. 255/35 front and 315/30 rears (20").
The Soul Sport Cats and full headers made a huge difference in sound. I have the factory PSE so it's quiet when I need it to be and rowdy when I want it to be. It sounds nasty when opened up to Sport/+. LOVE IT!

Best change(s) I have made to my 991.1 is a tie between two of them. First is the Kline valvetronic stainless steel exhaust; to me this is the way a NA 911 should sound when the PSE button is turned on. The other change is the Ohlins R&T coilover system I had installed. It transforms the compliance and handling of the car while minimizing some of the harshness I felt the car had on the stock suspension. Also satisfies my desire to have a lower than stock stance.
Other changes I have made include Techart front spoiler, side skirts and Type II spoiler and HRE P101 wheels.
