Right, and soft hands on the steering wheel. No death grip. Allow the skin of your fingers to give slack to the wheel as it moves in standing water then lightly catch the wheel.

Sacrilege I know, but if you’re daily driving in all season conditions consider all season tires for much better wet/cold traction than summer performance tires. Bridgestone RE980AS have given me peace of mind, with Pirellis available on another set of wheels for performance needs.

I do drive my 911, just not when it's raining, for exactly the reason the OP had. I don't need to drive my 911 in the rain and risk hydroplaning. That's not the type of excitement I need.

I have owned my 911 for six months now, first two could not get my vehicle registered because of COVID. So really in four months, I've driven her already almost 5000 miles and when sun out, car out. Not even my daily driver, I just drive in mornings before I go to work.
