New to me 2018 911 - What is Connect Compensation?
Hi,
I purchased a 2018 911 with 44k miles on it. Before I purchased I called Porsche to confirm the vehicle had a valid warranty - they said 4/22 or 50,300 miles with a valid warranty. The Porsche USA phone rep also said it had a "Connect Compensation Extended Warranty until 2028" and a "Coolant Pump Extended Warranty until 2028".
I called my local dealer & they had no idea what I was talking about (neither do I).
They are getting me pricing on a 2 year / 50k mile extended Porsche USA warranty but said somewhere around 2k-3k.
Thanks,
Rich

Rich, you should confirm what the "Connect Comp Ext Warranty" means, so you are not paying double for any additional warranty. Call your local dealership, and ask the Service Advisor to run your VIN, and see what he tells you.
The Water Pump warranty was recently discussed here, I'll try to find the post, and link here.
Congrats on your new car!

Your car definitely has Apple Car Play as it comes on models 2017 and above. Plug your phone into the console jack and it should pop up on your pcm

No idea either. Porsche's warranty programs are here, but I don't see anything that might be "Connect compensation"?

Thank you for the link to the Vin site - this is what it spit out.
I am a bit confused on all the options though. My 1999 911 is a fun car & fairly basic - this is like a caveman finding fire for the first time. I am not able to get over how different, better, faster, more fun this is - I just dont know what options I dont have I could add, etc.
I saw the SmartTop which looks great & I think I am going to get. I was looking at the Cobb stage 1 kit & cant tell if I have a 991.2 Cab PDK 3.0L - WM (whats WM mean?) or 991.2 Cab PDK 3.0T - I can hear the Turbo going off but I didnt think I had a turbo. This brings another question, if my base has a "turbo" what the heck is in the actual Turbo model?
Is 2-3k fair for the 2 year 50k warranty?
Im a little lost & would love to learn more about the vehicle - I cant find the manual online which would be great to read during downtime.
