Maybe the previous owner ran over a kid and now your car is haunted, I would sell it or have it washed with holly water and waxed with the melted wax from an altar.
Sorry I just finished watching Season 9 of American Horror Story, my wife is delighted with my daily comments.

Hi, I'm putting this out there because a mysterious chime has got me and the dealership baffled. I own a 2014 Carrera S with relatively low miles. For no apparent reason and very randomly I get a mystery chime. It's like no other beeps or warning such as for the seatbelt or door adjar. And the car didn't come with any proximity sensors. It almost sounds like a bell on a kid's bike and it started happening at the end of last driving season and seems more prevalent now. Has anyone else encountered this issue?

- You set speed limit(s) (one or two): each time you go over it/them, you hear a chime;
- You are getting dangerously close to the car in front of you ..... according to the sensor;
- You forgot to turn your lights off before getting out of the car;
- You have set the parking lights and the car is reminding you that you have;
- You left you key in the ignition and are getting out of the car;
- You are driving with a
dooropen (or the frunk or the sun roof or the folding top) open .... according to the sensor; - You need to perform some kind of maintenance on the car ..... according to a sensor;
- The sound you hear has nothing to do with your car, but happens when you are in the car.

I'm betting it's a notice of either a text message or an E-mail. Try turning off the PCM and driving for awhile and see if it still occurs.

Hi TT420. Everything points to the PCM and incoming texts. Thanks for your suggestion. The tech will try and reset it tomorrow. I'm not sure why it's happening 6 years after i bought it

How did your tech resolve it? I have been trying to turn that off too. It is the only thing I despise about the car. Everybody keeps blaming my phone, and they are right... if I turn my phone off when I am driving, I do not get that blood curdling alert in surround sound. I have spent hours going through every option on the PCM. I even resorted to RTFM to no avail. ![Frown](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/frown.gif)
