Default Mysterious chime

Hi, I'm putting this out there because a mysterious chime has got me and the dealership baffled. I own a 2014 Carrera S with relatively low miles. For no apparent reason and very randomly I get a mystery chime. It's like no other beeps or warning such as for the seatbelt or door adjar. And the car didn't come with any proximity sensors. It almost sounds like a bell on a kid's bike and it started happening at the end of last driving season and seems more prevalent now. Has anyone else encountered this issue?

When does it happen? When still? Driving? And if so at specific speed or at different speeds? Any pattern to it or is it completely random?

Are you getting a text message and car is notifying you?

Thanks for responding. It doesn't happen right away. Almost always after 5 mins of driving and at any speed. The pattern is random. The odd time it happens right after another. It went ching-ching and a few seconds later ching-ching but usually it's only one set.

The dealership checked for that and said that wasn't the case. Many times it happens at low speeds.

I never heard of that. I'll check the manual. I've never driven it below 38 F

Just for fun, turn your phone OFF, do not merely mute it.
Then try to duplicate the mystery chime.

Hi, I;m thinking it's something to do with the PCM but I've driven forgetting my phone at home and it still occurs. I'll try your suggestion anyways. It's in getting paint protection so I'll follow up with you later

I have a weird chime too, but I think its some front collision warning. Not a big deal, its not some annoying obnoxious sound.

Mine's not obnoxious either - some would even call it cute if it wasn't mysterious. My car being a 991 didn't have as many bells and whistles (pardon the pun) as your car so it's definitely not a proximity or collision avoidance sensor. If i figure it out I'll let everyone know about it. I'm calling bigger Porsche dealerships to see if they've encountered it as well. Thanks
