with all due respect to the current situation and the stress that it must be causing, all due compassion for a fellow enthusiasts... I will say just this much. If I didn’t have a “pile of money”
to burn on my toy car, I would at least have the sense to protect my investment with an aftermarket warranty. Hence why I still carry warranty. And why I still carry insurance even on my paid off Porsches. Not because my state requires it, but because it “protects my investment”. As do most people on this forum.
hope it all works out

So thanks for all the replies, the aurge comes on in any gear however it doesn't seem to happen in cruise control, its almost like it has a delay. Yeah I'm gonna take it in next Saturday, and see what they say. As far as the dude telling me to put seafoam in the motor, u are nuts. Also, to me this isn't a toy, it was a lifelong goal, so as far as protecting my investment goes.....I don't look at this like I look at the house I bought. To me this is just a bum deal but will keep you guys posted. Thanks for the advice

Welcome to the 911 club! Sounds like a tough start though. Fingers crossed all works for you in the end.
it looks like a lovely car! I do like a silver 911 with black wheels. Enjoy when you can!

You just bought it, depending on what state you buy from, there is always a standard minimum coverage you get. In NJ, I think it’s 3 months and 3,000 miles for engine/drivetrain. Even if bought without warranty. They should be able to help out.

I guess it stems from my personal misconception of this site. I hope when I post here that Im going to get the combined wisdom and years of technical expertise from helpful soles. Not some snide remark or off handed comment about my buying process.

"As far as the dude telling me to put seafoam in the motor, u are nuts." why do you say this? Apparently that is recommended by some people in the know, as it will clear out your injectors, however. my reference point is a 997.1. I don't think that was an outrageous suggestion as a slightly clogged injector may be throwing off the computer etc. unless i am missing something. Either way, good luck hoping its something simple.

Its just a car
I would approach dealer in this way. I really love the car but if you cant fix this I would like you to take this back so I may look at other options. Start there now immeditaly and do it in writing to the general manager. Be friendly compliment them on whatever. Blow smoke and document everything. I also think they have to take a return for so many days but that is not the remedy you want. Take care of buying problem before bumper. The engine is in the back so no way that the impact is cause.

Actually a little Seafoam is good now and then. Don't confuse a little Seafoam with YT videos of smoke screens emitting from 30 year S-boxes. And hey I thought the rule of thumb was if you spend $80k on the car you should have an additional $80k on account in case something goes wrong?

I'm saddened to see it's a 2014 with only 30K miles. That's abuse in my book.
I'd fuel it up with a fresh tank of Shell 93 with some fuel injection cleaner and flog it for a few miles on a nice stretch of highway.
If you do go back to the dealer ask them to reset everything including the PDK and I bet it will feel different.

Update, drove the car to porsche on Saturday, smashed on it, no issues. Porsche called me later that day saying that they need to compare to another 4s, said we need it till Monday. The tech agreed with me that there is a weird surge. So...the service bro is supposed to call me tomorrow. Stay tuned.
