Wireless CarPlay?
I have a 2019 991.2 and I am very interested in wireless CarPlay. Does anyone here have experience with the available adapters - I see several on Amazon? Recommendations, preferred brand/model? Considerations, issues, limitations?

If you get wireless car play going, what are you doing to charge the phone? If it has to be plugged in, isn't it just the same to have car play plugged in as well? Not sure I see the advantage of this on a 991.2,

Also, for me, wired CarPlay always seems to disconnect from the PCM. I’ve read that it may be the cable, but I haven’t tested this yet.

Really though it's just a convenience. Plugging in isn't that big an issue and it goes a long way to explain why I haven't looked into any wireless options for my 991.2, despite thinking it's a cool feature in the Macan.

I use carlink2.0 ordered on Amazon. Works great in my Porsche. Ordered the same for my Highlander, works great in it as well.

+1 - i've both Carlinkit adapters (gen 1/2) and the second one is a bit more reliable. I rarely take my phone out of my pocket in the car, and if I do, it's only to set it down on the wireless charger.
No wires for Carplay / charging is definitely the way to go and it was a minimal cost for a considerable gain in convenience. I've posted the pic before but it helps to illustrate the point:

Does Gen 2.0 have the lag that Gen 1.0 had? That was the biggest deal breaker for me

They both work fine once updated - the lag that was a major issue with the first units out was a no go. I had mine in a box for months and then decided to update it. Glad I did. Now it just works. This was resolved w/ firmware updates. Gen 2 gets the nod for being generally more stable.

Gen 2 is USB-C as well, if that matters.
