Wireless CarPlay?

+1 - i've both Carlinkit adapters (gen 1/2) and the second one is a bit more reliable. I rarely take my phone out of my pocket in the car, and if I do, it's only to set it down on the wireless charger.
No wires for Carplay / charging is definitely the way to go and it was a minimal cost for a considerable gain in convenience. I've posted the pic before but it helps to illustrate the point:

I use carlink2.0 ordered on Amazon. Works great in my Porsche. Ordered the same for my Highlander, works great in it as well.

I leave the phone in my pocket. I'm always jumping in and out and don't want to take my phone out just to plug in and have CarPlay start. Wireless is great. leave your phone in your pocket. If you are on a longer trip, yes, plug it in. No need for wireless on a long trip. Daily driver -wireless carplay all the way. Weekend driver yeah not needed. Polish and park... definitely not needed. I use this exact same device on my highlander, and love it. CarPlay is great, I just had always taking out my phone and plugging it in, then getting out and having to grad my phone, I'm just running into the hardware store. Well worth a $100.

Oh and a short cable to keep things tidy:
To power the charging pad, I ran the wire from the passenger footwell plug (w/ a flush mounted usb car adapter plugged in) tucked in under the trim. No tools needed. With the console closed, no wires are visible.
