I’m so glad I got my policy from Trenton. I called him to ask questions and he told me he would go to bat for me if dealer tried to make me pay the difference. I WISH I could get a new transmission, waiting for the trans. error lol!

If I were you, I’d call other dealers and just ask if they make you pay the diffc, or they just accept fidelity’s payout schedule.
so, the warranty paid $100 and you paid $500…
anyway, $1300 of non-gold-plated horns is ridiculous to start with

I thought about it while the dealer was asking me to pay for the labor difference but sadly theres not much other options who could do the transmission swap near me. Also my car was already in their possession for a week waiting for Fidelity's approval and seems like a pain in the butt to find other options while this one can start immediately after I approve it. I thought walking away to save $550 ($800 - $250 deductible they waived) isn't worth the hassle considering Im getting a $29k job done one my car.

Im definitely going to talk to my SA's boss once I pick up my car to get more clarity about what happened. Seems like they don't want my business if Im using my extended warranty so I will take it elsewhere for any future warranty work.

I think this is what the situation boils down to, could the dealership have backed down a little more for a $29K job? I'm sure! Should they have just taken the $29K and moved on to another job? You bet! Is $550 worth jeopardizing a $29K warranty payout... eh probably not.

Yep! But without fidelity, I would’ve paid 1300. Or diy!

I meant call around for the next time, so you’re not stuck with this dealer. When I first got the policy, I called around and asked, so I knew where to go when I needed to.

I’m happy to report that Fidelity covered an ~$8000 repair. My out of pocket was $250. Order of events:

1) I brought the car to the dealer who diagnosed the issue.
2) The dealer called Fidelity on the spot and they agreed to the repair.
3) Dealer ordered parts.
4) Dealer installed parts. I paid deductible.

10/10. The warranty cost me $2200 back in 2021 when the car had fewer than 10K miles on it. SO worth it.

This should be a promotional piece for Fidelity. Bravo to all!

Nice, It really is that easy! A competent service center/advisor makes all the difference, if you do not have one, well that is where I come in

Will Fidelity warranty older 991.1 that is now out of warranty? Is there a max mileage that a 991.1 can have to get a Fidelity warranty now?

My 2021,992 C4S CPO ends 3/2027, mileage is about 26,000miles. Should I signup for Fidelity now while it will have lower mileage. As I know prices increases based on lmilesge warranties ext. My ideal goal to not overlapping coveregss per se

Starting coverage prior to the vehicle exceeding 35K miles will be your biggest cost savings while minimizing over lap. You will have a yearly adjustment the first of 2025, 2026, and 2027. But where the Fidelity mileage based pricing tiers stand now, you'd still be with-in the same mileage based pricing tier until the vehicle exceeds 35K miles.
My email is below if you'd like more information.

As of right now, and at least until the end of the year, Fidelity coverage is available to eligible vehicles under 105K miles. We did see a year eligibility increase from 12 year old to 15 year old vehicles for 2024, so things may adjust here for 2025 again, but at least until the end of the year, eligilbe vehicles with under 105K miles are able to receive Fidelity extended warranty coverage.

My information is below for coverage information, lengths, pricing, deductibles and an example contract that explains coverage.
