991.2 weight distribution
Is there a chart or reference for the front rear weight distribution of the 991.2 variants? Specifically C4GTS. I’d like to know since the Quick Jacks can be used with the units parallel to the axles. Knowing how much weight is up front vs the rear could prevent a problem. Only reason I would want to do this is to be able to raise the car, take wheels off, do some work then lower and still have room for the other car in garage while keeping the the QuickJack in place for other work over a weekend. Thanks

I think I recall seeing 40/60. And here is a thread that may give you some insight: https://rennlist.com/forums/991/1082...y-991-2-a.html

F37% vs R63% in this C2S
AWD variants will likely be less unbalanced because of more weight in front.
Still looking for AWD variant weights.

I think you will be OK, as long as the center of gravity stays forward of the rear jack points.
I wonder about using Quickjacks in the standard configuration to lift 911s, when the lifts are oriented so the lower pivots are toward the front. Looks like the CG could migrate to the rear of the bottom frame, especially when the lift is nearly down, or if weight has been removed from the front.

Never had an issue lifting my Targa 4GTS with Quick Jack 5000..... I orient the Lifts so the CG stays in-between the lower pivot points.

But you can use the lifts Parallel to the axles. This photo shows them used perpendicular to the axles which is the most likely position. If used parallel to the axles, the car would move left to right or right to left when it’s being lifted. This could be helpful to get the 911 in the air IF the weight distribution was not too butt heavy. I guess it’s a question for Quick Jack.
The 911 is very balanced left to right so in the above photo the lifts have almost equal weight. With the lifts placed parallel to the axles the rear on would have about 62% of the cars weight on the lift and 38% would be on the front one.
