Default Seat Piping Repair

Hi Everyone
I have a 2019 Carrera S with 7,400 miles. I'm the second owner. Beautiful car except for one thing - wearing on the driver side seat piping. I put a picture below. The interior is Agate Grey - just beautiful.

Does anyone have ideas of how I can make the situation better? I suppose I could replace the seat - these are 14 way, maybe I could upgrade myself to an 18 way as I have heard they are more comfortable. I also have another post on the site that asks how to adjust the seat rails to give another inch or two in the legroom. Perhaps combine the projects...

But in the meantime, before I figure out from whom to buy a seat, does anyone have a suggestion? I've toyed with using a gray marker to offset the white.
Thanks
Chris

Seek a professional. They can do wonders to wear areas like this while the seat is in the car.

I have the same color interior and the same wear on the drivers side bolster but I also have 122,000 miles on the car so I'm going to leave it alone until the stitching gives out.

The picture is rather zoomed in and my wife would roll her eyes I'm sure in working about it. Still, you know us Porsche owners...

I'm searching out a local place - may take a while.
Thanks

+1 for a leather specialist that dye's leather. Best to visit the dealer and ask them for the contact info for who they use on leather repairs (trust me, they have a company or a "guy").

No need for a leather specialist. Go to www.colourlock.com and buy the sanding block and some leather fresh in your color. I just did this with my bordeaux red interior and it came out perfect! extremely impressed.

You have a painted leather on the seat, and use paint to fix it. Do it yourself or there are mobile services that go to virtually every car dealer to do that.

even if you have an auto reupholster replace the section, it’s only about $450 to do so.

Colourlock will provide an color match. This is all in one. If you choose, you can sand, prime, paint, and then clear. The all in one seems like a good solution.

Colourlock looks really interesting and based on my issue, looks to be a “walk in the park.” Except they are based in the UK. I’ll see what it takes to get product on the other side of the pond.

I placed an order with Colourlock (on Amazon) on December 9th and it arrived on the 23rd. I have this same issue but I haven’t attempted the repair yet. Good luck and would like to hear how it worked out for you.

9,400 miles

Thanks - ordered as well. Found the color match and we'll see how it looks. The kit isn't cheap but then again we all want perfection. I'll post the results.

Almost every dealer has a mobile guy that comes out to fix issues like that on their used inventory. They'll basically sand it and "spray paint" that area and you'll never know.
You might be able to find the guy in the parking lot doing his thing, get his card.

Readily available in US. Package coming from UK would come in a week. They have oem color match.

Yes, but the 993's take 20 years to look like that, not 2 years.
993's are built like tanks, and as the adage, goes they don't build them like that anymore.

True dat. Can't say I miss my old 993 whip, but is was a pure honor to have owned it. An experience I will always cherish & respect.
