Did I read somewhere you can get into neutral by holding both paddles?? Is this an actual thing??
Yes, but only if you have the true paddles (not the weird things on the standard wheels) and it needs to be programmed by the dealer to enable this if the car didn't originally come with the paddled wheel.
No need to hold them. Just pull both and release. If moving, pull either paddle to go back into gear. If stopped, need to be on brake when you hit up shift paddle to re-engage gear.

+1
Porsche dealer wasn’t aware of this “feature” when I got my car delivered. I must have read it somewhere on this forum. ;-)
Im going for alignment check Saturday, I will check with my dealer to see if its enabled. I dont have any goodies in my wheel so I guess its a standard wheel. Of course Ill check Friday
Just pull back on both paddles simultaneously, just like how you would command a down or an up shift.. except at the same time. It will pull the clutches and you'll be coasting. Pull either paddle when you want to go back in gear.
As mentioned, worst case scenario, you instead shift gears.
I use this feature all the time. It replicates what you would do with a manual. The PDK has a learning curve to get the most out of it. It is not an automatic.

Out of curiosity, what do you use it for so often?
