I did my install recently, and I opted not to cut the stock hose, instead, the hose had enough give to shove it back in behind the engine a few inches (and still with a slant to drain), and was able to connect to the AOS without any undue tension on the fittings. And this was with the much larger TiAL turbo elbow. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Installed mine a few weekends ago, was a pretty easy 25 minute job.

Roughly 16 sessions over two weekends. I generally don't run full 20 minutes sessions - not a ton of oil but when I think about this much oil times the number of track days I've done, tis a scary thing.

Always great to see these pics!

Something else to keep in mind, is that the first drain may not produce as much as the following drains. The first time can take a bit longer as the interior surfaces need to build up to a level where it starts to flow into the bottom. Once those surfaces have a nice coating, the reservoir will accumulate at a faster rate. Of course, this get thrown out the window if there is a lot of variability in driving type over each OCI.

So funny story - i heard what I thought was an exhaust leak on my car. Checked underneath and sure enough a little air is escaping from where cats attach to my sharkwerks exhaust. Fiddle around and get that sorted out and the sound is still there. Take it for a test drive figuring it will expand with heat and seal up...no joy. Turns out I did not close up my Vektor AOS, so air was escaping out.

Potential side benefit of the AOS - your car can sound like it has a blow-off valve going for it.

I've seen this before. The valve doesn't close in the direction that you think it would. Glad you figured it out! That is a great sound though!

I had mine in the open position on first start. Sounded like a jet of air coming out of it 😅 took me a minute to realize the the valve wasn’t in the closed position.

Join the club! I've done it. Maybe I should have a sticker on the AOS that denotes operating position.

Bringing this back up as we're getting a lot of questions lately on oil accumulation and draining. No better feedback than customer feedback. Thanks everyone for posting your experiences!

Interestingly enough only a few drops came out of mine the two times I checked. Once after about 7 track days and the other after 3 track days. I guess either way its a good thing.

Many factors play into the amount of blow-by coming from an engine: driving style, oil type/weight/condition, engine wear, type of usage, driving style, etc... I'd chalk it up to having a very healthy engine that jives with what you do

The first drain typically has low output as the AOS internal surfaces get coated before anything starts to accumulate. As miles get racked on, you may notice a bit more, which is normal.

I'm about to hit 26K miles on my 2019 GTS so I will chalk it up to a healthy engine Thanks!

A good thing for sure. Especially after a couple threads I've seen with excessive blow-by and oil consumption :/

Default Easy install

I just put mine on yesterday.
even with the right wheel still on and up on a ramp it was an easy install.
I left the wheel on as the center lock is a pain to remove 😁.

the amount of oil all the way up to the throttle was a bit disturbing, but I got it cleaned out.
I stuffed a paper towel in the intercooler outlet and soaked up all the oil that was pooled there.
thankfully it slopes down on that end.

looking forward to a clean right pipe and zero oil in my intake.

I have one for sale, didn't work on my Turbo S as it's meant for the Carrera.

Brand new. PM me for a fairly discounted price.
