I did mine a year ago and I had the same problem peeling back the nylon heat shield. It was a real pain but once it's done, you never have to do it again. Otherwise it is an easy install in a tight space. Parts are high quality..

Thanks so much for posting and sharing your experience!

I've tried a couple of routes with cutting that hose and sheath. There was no magic solution unfortunately, trimming after like you did is fine

Just had a chance to watch your video @Wujohn . Nicely done and thanks! So is the triangular shaped bracket simply to brace the AOS by attaching it using a zip tie to keep it pointing straight down and from wobbling around?

Thanks, and yes you are correct. That does a good job stabilizing the AOS. You can see a bit earlier in the video how floppy it was without that.

Default Vektor oil separator

Well this thing really works well! After 5 heavy track days I pulled some nasty looking oil out. Next time I’ll measure it but there was a good initial flow when I opened it up.

@Wujohn It would be great to see the condition of the intercoolers now and then at the end of the season.

Unfortunately I have quite a bit of time on the intercoolers already, on and off track, prior to installing your AOS. I am toying with pull them and seeing what they look like. I've not investigated but assume it is a fairly easy thing to do? Seeing oil in there would certainly validate the weaknesses of the stock set up.

No oil drained out of mine last oil change. Only put 2.5-3k miles a year on my T, no track time and about six, day long mountain runs a year which are semi-aggressive but not like a day at the track. Porsche SA said I needed to drive it more often and harder.🤣🤣

Thanks again for offering this product to the 991.2 community. Mine is on order.

I realize it maybe proprietary, but is is possible to show a cut away of the internals of your AOS or at least describe the deign with regard to baffles or filters inside the unit? I have been doing too much reading online about catch cans and AOS applications for Turbo Charged GDI cars and there is a lot variation on how the actual separation of vapor and liquid is achieved in the various offerings, let alone the materials used to do that.

Any insight or detail would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you very much for buying our product. I'd love to hear about your install and how well it works for you.

As for the inner workings, the best I can do is to provide a Jeremy Clarkson like answer. "Stinky engine breath goes in, magic happens, and a fresh minty scent makes your turbo happy".
