For those that have bought a used 991: Was a lack of FAL a deal breaker for you?

For those that have bought a used 991: Was a lack of FAL a deal breaker for you?
I've been on the lookout for quite some time now for a 991 that is specced the way I would like, and I have found one that suits my preferences in every category but one: Front axle lift.
I live in an urban area with lots of speed humps, sloped entrances and exits from parking lots, parking garages, and some pretty awfully-maintained roads. As such, I'd hoped to find a car with FAL to give me confidence that I can get wherever I may go in town with minimal damage to the front of the car. There's a decent change I will be working in an office with a parking garage as well, so the possibility of driving this car and scraping every day does not sound ideal.
The thing is: FAL-equipped 991's seem like friggin' unicorns. I see them very rarely on the used market.
I know the front lip is going to get scraped no matter what, and that it's essentially a consumable item. Doing damage beyond the front lip is my primary concern. This is a SPASM'd car I am considering.
So the question is: Was/is a lack of FAL a deal breaker for you?

Definitely not. Outside of 991.2 Turbos and GT3s, I hardly ever see FAL. Very few of the "normal" cars seem to have them. If it's a must-have, find a great car and add aftermarket suspension that has FAL.
But more to the point, as long as you take the right angle and the right speed, you can usually avoid anything worse than a minor lip scuff (and those things are basically disposable at their prices) so unless you live in Basra, I think you should be ok.

i dont have it and i go over speed bumps every day with no issues. i think the biggest reason to have it is for a sloped driveway. if you dont have to deal with that i wouldn't worry about speed bumps, etc

Nope.
My E92 M3 wouldn’t go over a dime laying in the road without thumping the air damn. The Porsche, no problem.

I'll echo what the other guys have said. No problems around town and speed bumps in my 991.1 C2S. Unless you have a lowered car, I think you can get by with careful driving when needed.

Our base 992 vert has it. Haven’t used it yet but there will be the day when it is needed. Certainly will be few and far between. Would not have spec’d it but it came with. The fact the car is my wife’s I’m glad to have it.

Yes.
I would not have purchased my '17 without it. I scrape on my driveway, otherwise.
Worth noting I have the factory lowered setup. Still learning the alphabet soup.

I'm with several others here - no issue, and I never even considered it.

When I was ordering my GTS, I asked my salesman what he thought about FAL and he said not to waste my money. I’m glad I listened to him. Even though the GTS sits lower than the base, I rarely scrape the front lip but it does take planning such as taking ramps at 45 degrees. Regardless, you’re going to scrape the front lip. If the scratches bother you, take a fine grit sandpaper to the scraped area and voila, problem solved! The front spoiler is not that expensive and for the price of FAL, you can buy several spoilers.
