I love my 3.0TT. PSE, Soul cats and away you go. Personally never been a fan of going backward in tech. Plus your CPO takes you out farther in the .2

The cars are so different that it should be easy to decide for you based on how each one drives. For me it was NA MT GTS no question, but it's your preference to rule.

Who said "worthless"?

The question was between a 991.1 GTS or a 991.2 S, which would you take. In that context, the GTS feels old and dated.

Does that mean it's "worthless"? Maybe, but then that's your word. Not mine.

and to add to your point..

I have always been a fan of new tech... have almost always embraced an improvement of any sort, electronics, motorcycles, cars ...you name it, I have jumped on it...

Lets call it what it is... EU forced all manufacturer's hand by enforcing almost impossible to meet emission and MPG standards.. Its not like Porsche spent last 2 decades hoping and wishing one day all cars could be "turbo".. they fought hard, extracted everything they could.. and still to this day are keeping their GTx cars NA for a reason.
My buddy's modified '17 S sounds EXACTLY like his own modified Subaru STI.. (his own words).. he has been a die hard Subaru fan for over a decade and finally jumped on the 991.2 because he gets to have the look of a 911 with the sounds and driving experience (engine wise) of a Subaru.. THAT in its self is ALL I need to know and say about Porsche direction.. There is nothing wrong with a car sounding like a Subaru STI Turbo.. if thats your thing...
the turbo era is attracting 2 kinds of enthusiasts... (IMHO)... those who equate $$$$ spent with expected straight line performance..I can't tell you how many people told me "I would love a 911 but you spend THAT kind of money and all you get is 400 hp?"
and those who like to/have to have the newest models/trims.. a small 3rd segment may be those who like turbo cars and can finally have a tunable "911 turbo" for half of what it used to cost..
just my opinion and thoughts..

Update, guys: I ended up getting the C2S. I will explain better the reasons on a dedicated post, where I am going to give my first impressions as well. But in short: I love cabriolets, I loved the color combo and as technology guy, the tech is important (although Porsche non-drive tech is subpar)

Looked at C4S - C2S vs. GTS / 4 GTS, year range 2015 to 2019! It's been a COVID 19 project, from Canada/ON/BC to SF- El Paso, TX, true...

So, value w/ similar performance (20hp less) and costs on non-GTSs- makes for a great value, *only missing is the x51 extra HP. & ALC Pkg (needed?)
Some C2S and C4S (some are great lookers) are over priced due to demand created by the high $$ GTS market...
Some SW mods are available, spend wisely, if needed.

BTW, got a '15 NA 3.8L, MT7, 23k mis, no SR, 4GTS, it took a while. Blk/blk!

It took a while and many miles/phone calls and texts-emails.
