Default My “New” 991.2 4S Cabriolet!

Greetings all! I’ve been a long time lurker on the forum but have just finally become a member. More importantly, I’ve just purchased my first Porsche and I couldn’t be happier! It’s a 2017 Carrera 4S Cab in Jet Black Metallic with 11k miles, full Sport Package and Premium Plus package. I’d consider myself a true car enthusiast and have loved Porsche’s my whole life (dad has a black 993 C4S coupe he bought new in 96). I can honestly say though it’s a different feeling when you actually own one. They are truly some of the best driving cars on the planet and after you have driven one, you fully understand the fanaticism that Porsche owners have for the brand.

I, like a lot of you, have modified every car I’ve ever owned and this one will be no different. Nothing crazy but just ordered a set of BC Forged wheels and H&R Lowering Springs. Car is going in next week for full paint correction, PPF, Clearplex on the windshield and window tint. I also plan on going with the Soul Sport cats and changing the PSE tips with black Soul ones. I’ll be documenting everything on IG (@scurbo_t) if anyone is interested. That’s all for now but beyond excited to be part of this great community!

Thank you! I was looking for a GTS but couldn't find the right one. Got too impatient and don't regret getting the 4S at all. Still love my RS3. Fantastic car.

100% agree on the RS3. Once modded they are absolutely delightful little cars with nothing else on the market offering the same amount of performance and personality with all weather usefulness. I love it to death.

Thanks! Nothing better than a clean black car. I like the wheels but the BC Forged ones I have coming are going to be spectacular.

Congrats on your car and mod plans. I also just bought a Night Blue/Saddle Brown Full Leather, 2017 C4S Cab with Sport Pkg & Premium Pkg. Was a very well-equipped car that is getting a few fun upgrades as well. Has been paint corrected, full Xpel & Ceramic. Already installed an APR Stage 1 ECU tune and the DSC Sport Active suspension module (Great!!), and now having a set of 20” HRE P101 wheels mounted along with an Akrapovic titanium exhaust, their sport cats, and their CF rear diffuser being installed this week. Debated going with an X51 retrofit kit, APR Stage 3 tune, and AMS Intercoolers, but will save that for next Spring. Time to drive the car as Summer is short here in New England.

Thanks and WOW...you did it up proper!!! Congrats! That APR tune is calling my name as well. Have their tune on my RS3 and I love it. I'm in Chicago so know the feeling of the season just being too short. I'm making the best of it though....put almost 1000 miles on the car in the last week. All I want to do is drive.
