That’s exactly what I wanted to hear. Thank you

Default 991.2 Taillights Available

In case anyone is looking for a set of 991.2 tailights, I will have mine up for sale in the next couple of weeks. Feel free to PM me if interested.

I recently purchased a set of tinted tailights from a forum member, and once they arrive I will be installing. My current original ones are mint, only 5,000 miles on my 2019 C4.

If you look under the taillights, it does seems there is excess space (corner towards PORSCHE logo). Also the center grille where rear light bar could go looks much taller than the top headlight beam, so it does look like there is fitment issues but hard to tell with photos that have a dark filter.

Yea, the issue in the center is because that bumper is from a GTS/C4. That particular bumper is made to have a light or a grille on the top. However, the WB 991 is not that much wider than the NB 991. A few millimeter difference but the bumper is flexible and everything bolts up fine. You may see a small gap but barely noticeable.

For reference here is a pic of forum member @whoadude 's 991 Carrera with an OEM GT3 CUP wide body rear bumper and exhaust:

FYI i am in the process of also doing the OEM GT3 rear bumper (center exhaust and all) but the 991.2 version which does not require a grille in the top center.

Pic looks great! For the sale of clarification, difference is roughly 45 mm of extra width in back for wide-body. Really not much to speak of, except that, since the front track is unchanged, what you get is a significantly wider “flare” on rear fenders
Would be cool if the rear grille could be changed as well. In my opinion, that’s the portion most improved, aesthetically, in going to .2

The GT3 rear is a lot of work. Bumper support, heat shield, etc.

Default 991 Heck

I also rebuilt my vehicle after I saw the conversion here in the forum. New lamps and new light strips have fitted onto the old plugs. I shortened the bumper bracket a little at the bottom. Body-colored bumper bought the wide GTS. Everything went well. Unfortunately, the middle light bar does not light up. That's why I'm bringing it on March 15th. in the workshop. Many thanks for the tips from this forum.

@Maik 123 looks awesome! Clean job on the inlet mesh and the bumper support cuts.

Anyone know how that F1 brake light was installed (I assume that is what it is)? @whoadud?

That's an OEM bumper from a GT3 cup car. Cup cars have a rain/fog light on the back of them. Not sure where they are wired to though.

@Maik 123 looks great! Your center bar does not light because the 991.1 center bar runs on 5 volts where the 991.2 center bar runs on 12 volts. You should be able to tap into the license plate lamps to provide power for the 991.2 rear bar but you will need to pull the bumper to get access to the wiring.

Default Danke Polobai

Polobai that sounds like a solution. As a test, I had reassembled the 991.1 light bar, which then no longer worked. In any case, the light bar is not supplied with power. Taking power from the license plate lights now is an excellent idea.So to supply the light bar from the license plate light with power. Thank you for this good tip.
