Have you thought about just using some flat high heat paint and painting that entire heat shied on the outside? I feel like even if you add the vent trim it would look out of place since youll see silver heat shield.

Does the .1 oem plastic diffuser fit with the .2 bumper cover ?

You read my mind, I'll definitely be painting the shield black so that it doesn't stand out

To be honest, I'm not sure.. it looks like it might when I eyeball it, but the outer sections of the bumper (closest to the wheels) looks like it may be different.. the reflector shape is definitely different which makes me think that area may not be perfectly aligned the same way. Also, the diffuser is on there pretty tight with tabs that look like they may break off. If you can find it used, I would say go that route..

I’d like to to the same, but with the 4S rear bumper for the center light bar.
But I can’t find anything on eBay…
