There is a brand new 2019 911T for sale at my dealer that has everything I want. However, it has a PDK; but it has all of the other options I really love about the T. Not to mention, the price is right with a heavy $20k discount.
Now I know the PDK loses the PTV+ & LSD, which does not bother me. My question is, does the PDK lose SPASM? Also the lightweight glass? Or is it standard on both the manual & PDK T's? Also, can the side decal be removed?
The one on the lot is brand new with less than 100 miles on it. It has LWBS, full leather w/ T interior racing yellow stitching, PCCB's, CWM w/ sport design. The PDK has it's positives with it being quicker than a manual, combined with the lighter curb weight on the T. I really love it. This will be a semi-dedicated track car for me.
Thoughts?
Ceramcis & sport design If you look closely, you can see the engage/disengage suspension button Ride height looks like SPASM

Seems like a great track car. It’s only missing RAS, which some people say has a significant benefit on track. (My T doesn’t have RAS and I never drove one that had it, so I can’t say one way or the other.)
The transmission is probably more about preference. PDK is faster off the line, but I’ve heard 7MT can keep up on track. Consider whether you’ll upgrade the power and if the manual clutch can handle that increase. (Its PDK, duh.)
PDK doesn’t lose SPASM. And the lightweight glass is standard unless replaced by the regular rear window (with defrost).

MT 911 CT guy here.
-SPASM is still with PDK (I believe)
-lightweight glass is always on a T unless optioned out. Some didn't realize that if you check privacy glass...you deleted the RS glass. You can tell if there are defroster lines in the rear glass. If not, you got the RS glass
-You get ePTV and "electronic LSD" with PDK (I believe)
-Unless you are of the "only manual" mentality you will love the car with PDK. I've been in the T since 2018 and follow the "T Army" all the time here in Rennlist and the PDK folks seem to love their T.
-Don't let anyone here tell you what the "right spec" is for your 911 either.
-The PDK is awesome for track work...thinking about getting another P-car for track and I'm absolutely getting PDK, hopefully PDK-S in the GT4 RS
-I love my T...absolutely love it. Maybe I'm weird but I think its one of the best 911s out there. Some will argue that saying its a "parts bin" special. Maybe so...I like what I like and I think the car is special!
DM me if you want any more info on anything T...I'm sure some other owners will weigh in. Hopefully I wasn't giving you black pearls with the PDK stuff.

I have RAS. Love it BUT...I think its not the greatest thing since sliced bread as some make it out to be. I find that on taking fast corners it kind of "trips" me up a little, especially on the track. I found that it sometimes fights my correction on my high speed corners...its just something with the feel. I actually love it for street driving though! Rails indeed!
For me my hesitation would be the tranny...and not getting a true LSD. Awesome spec otherwise-if it works for you and what you will use it for, go for it! There is a nicely specc'd lava orange with Manual, buckets, and PCCB's in the marketplace for 96k with 6k miles on it if you must have the Manual.
id give a PDK Carrera T a go, if you like the options. The seats and brakes are appealing. On the track the PDK car would probably be more fun in fact. Being able to put extra mindshare into balancing the chassis and perfecting balance, settling the rear, unwinding, being smooth. That's all so much harder to do right while shifting. Do it!
That's a sweet one. If you are comfortable with the price and it has most of the items you want, I'd say go for it. PDK or Manual both will be a fun car unless you are a die hard manual must have. Otherwise even on the back road PDK would be so much fun to drive.
Manual is not a must have. I think PDK for track work is great. I have just read a ton of material on why someone should just get a base 991.2 if you're going to get a PDK, since the manual is in-line with what the T is trying to accomplish. That being said, I have a 992 C2 w/ PDK. I just like buckets/rear seat delete & the lightweight narrow body feel on the 991, especially for track duty.
Your car’s cousin says howdy. Are you planning to dump some money into it for track duty? If so, why not just get another car as a base to launch from? Might be worth it in the end. If not , I say do it. You won’t regret the road feel, the lightness, or the agility RAS or not. Good Luck!

Plus, smoking good deal!

Looks great! ^^ I have thought of that, but there is something about the T that I love. I've done some extensive research, and I really have grown to love it.
Lets just say, the 992 is a little too digital. The throwback feel on the 991 feels more at home. More physical buttons, proper gear selector, analog gauges, etc.
Throw in some LWBS, PCCB, LWG. It feels like a GT race car on a budget.
PS: I'll listen to anyone who answers my questions lol
