I started the Sport Design wheel swap today. All the parts are here, but I am waiting on the triple square M12 socket. I thought I had one, but if I do it has been lost to the ages. Went ahead and wired in the GPS adapter. It wasn't hard after I figured out which wires were which in the instructions. Ended up not pulling out the airbag mounting plate, because one torx wasn't going to move and I was afraid it would strip. So I had to use a needle nose to route the wires, but it all went smoothly. It is ready to go as soon as I can get the old wheel off. Hopefully plug and play from here.

I did the same thing, however I also did the inner side of the door panel too. It made a huge difference! Before the road noise came from everywhere, after doing the doors, now all the noise comes from the rear. I'm now in the process of doing the rear of the car, from the doors back. This one is, however, a huge undertaking. I've removed the rear seats and the side panels and applying soundproofing and mass loaded vinyl. Again it made another big difference. There are several large open areas at the base of the rear seats and the seat belt retractors. I also lined (as much as I could reach) all of those areas. My car is now much quieter than stock.

My buddy tried to hire him to detail his 997.2 GT3 and he declined the job. I love his videos.

2014 C2S with factory Aero package. The front lip as taken a real beating, so ordered a new aero front lip from SunCoast. It arrived yesterday. Haven't decided yet to have it painted the factory Carrera white or try something different an go flat textured black. In the meantime I’m going to hold off with the new lip. I just put on another layer of white super thick duct tape on the bottom edge. That cleaned it up for now.

I have done a few cars in the past and have a Flex VC3401 random orbital polisher. My only concern is in that the last time I did this it took me 4 days to complete the project as I am a bit obsessive.

Swap is complete. Everything works, paddles, MF, horn (horn worked too well, I had to pop off the airbag and loosen the mounting plate). Pretty easy.

Top to bottom detail... down to using toothpicks and Q-tips in all the nooks and crannies. Today will be installing radiator screens if I get my yard finished. Mowing, edging, trimming and manicuring 2.5 acres by yourself is not easy.

But you are in Abilene, so at least it is flat!

Is anyone doing any DIYs on SOUL components? Post them up! I'll PM you for your address and shoot you over a SOUL t-shirt in your size

Jack stands should suffice for a Sport Cat installation

Larry is the man. We worked with him on a custom setup for his R8 awhile back. His aircooled 911 is an absolute freaking gem haha.

I'm doing the same thing. Just waiting on the new airbag to show up. Should be here by the end of next week.

I had some trouble with the mounting plate torx as well when I tried to do it by hand. I switched to power tools and it came off like a charm with no stripping. I don't know how I would have ever gotten those wires placed without removing. You must have more patience than me.
