Depending on how much boost the car is running, the hot side can melt stuff. I've measured compressor outlet temps over 400F on higher boost applications, Plastic typically gets soft around 100C/212F.

The short of it is, Porsche did a great job utilizing the space there. So much so, that there really isn't any to spare.

I've considered making some of these here as well, but it comes down to two paths... One is you use round tubes and modify the parts around it. The other is to make complex fabricated/formed parts that drastically increase the product's price tag (and likely not perform as well as a round tube).

There is, however the couplers will not line up...Tial made me aware of the area to cut when I inquired about the inlets. Its because of the size difference of the pipe compared to stock. Not a big deal-literally less than a minute with the dremal and no impact if you need to put the stock pipes back in.

I have a " while you are in there " question. The plastic intercooler ducts that are on top and bottom of the intercooler. How precise it the seal between the intercooler and plastic dusts? Are they loose, any air gaps? I was thinking of running some 1/4 in foam tape around the perimeter of the ducting to make a tight seal and hopefully improve air flow thought the intercoolers when I do my install..

The air path the to the intercoolers is insufficient. There is no real way to improve it without making substantial changes to the body of the car. Spraying water/meth onto intercoolers is a great way to dissipate heat if done properly. They have it on the GT2-RS.

I would not spray into motor, just onto the intercoolers. Modern technology with ethanol has shown that meth injection for combustion purposes is now a dinosaur

When you say motor, are you referring to right before the throttle body? Can you elaborate some more? From my previous turbo experience I've found two nozzles (double up if 2 inter-coolers) one right after the intercooler on the pipe and one right before the throttle a foot or so.

You could definitely spray on the intercoolers. That could be pretty easy to set up using an cold pipe temp sensor that turns on when the temps rise above a certain point that you set.
