Very stable-I utilized a speednut for the top screw and the bottom screw is just holding in position. Its not going anywhere.

Hey Ryan, from this comment I am assuming you mean you drilled a total of four holes on each side, the three under body and the fourth in the rear mud flap? If so, that sounds very promising. From my understanding the underbody screws are going into the clips that hold the oem felt-type under body sound deadening, and the rear mud flaps are $50 a set. Meaning that this could be a completely reversible mod by only drilling into replaceable pieces? Did you take any additional measures for the front or use any double sided tape or adhesive? I am considering picking up the std 991.2 GT3 skirts, unless these 991.2 skirts would be a worse fit than the 991.1 skirts others seem to be using? Thanks in advance for your input!

correct. It would be only 4 per side. It’s pretty tight in the front to where I don’t need anything to hold it, but I guess you could clean it up and apply automotive 3M. And yes, you would only need those 2 mudflaps to completely reverse this.

the 991.2 gt3rs are a little more aggressive than the 991.1 but I’m sure they can be modified to fit.

Terrific, thank you. By aggressive, do you mean total width (how far it sticks off the body), or in the actual shape of the skirt. What I am trying to ask is, the the 991.2 more "curved" towards the rear, or will the 991.1 and 991.2 actually have the same "body lines" where the skirt meets the body?

idk if this helps but heres mine with a targa side skirt (first photo) and a 991.1 gt3rs side skirt (second photo)

991.2 gt3rs is a little more aggressive (overall shape) than this.

Appreciate the help. From my research, the "body line" of the skirt, aka where the inside of the skirt mates up the the b

ody of the car (in red) for all options, 991.1, 991.1RS, 991.2 Targa, 991.2RS, etc, are the exact same.

The "aggressiveness" or how far the skirt pertrudes (in yellow) is the key difference between the options.

Does that all sound correct?

The installs in this thread do not mention use of a heat gun to adjust the "body line" to mate up to the narrow body. If manipulation of the body line was needed, I could definitely understand where a thinner, less aggressive skirt would be easier to work with.

You are correct. No need for a heat gun to manipulate the body line. There will be a slight gap towards the back-however it’s not noticeable and if it bothers you, you can fill it. For me, still my favorite mod for the car considering the price and level of effort.

Done! Have some time on my hands these days. Looking forward to this. Open to recommendations on which to go with. Anyone wish they had done another model?

For me it was between the 991.1 gt3 rs sides and the 991.2 gt3 rs sides. I went with the 991.1 rs sides and think I nailed it for my car in regards to what I was looking for. Imo, I would have wished for more aggressiveness if I went with the 991.2 gts sides. The 991.2 rs still peak my interest but i think they would have been too aggressive with my setup.

I actually prefer the look of the targa one, a little more subtle, fits the lines of the Carrera a little better, but if you like the aggressiveness, 991.1 gt3rs is pretty good. There is a slight gap towards the rear as stated and I can get a close up that shows that.

Definitely good feedback, I appreciate it. Not having the sport appearance pkg, having black plastic front and rear, I've felt from day one the sides of the car were missing something to tie it all together. I only plan on adding skirts and wheel spacers from an exterior perspective, so not going overboard with something too aggressive is important. It has to make sense. (I do LOVE your mods though, Polobai, and can not wait to see the final product with the gts bumper fitted) I will report back when I have a set ordered. Time to pull out the dremel!

The one you have installed is from Targa GTS (I assume Targa or Non-Targa, it's GTS side skirt)? or 991.1 GT3RS?

I originally installed targa to see how it looked. It is a little more subtle, I decided to try the 991.1 gt3rs also and kept that one installed for now.

the part number of the more subtle one is
991-504-595-03-1E0 (believe it’s from a targa or similar)

I just ordered the GT3RS skirts for my Quarantine project. Thanks for doing this DIY, it looks very manageable with basic tools.
