Its a nice box but IMO too high for the 911 and would look out of place. I have a Yakima skybox (the low profile one) and I use it for the same purpose (a toddler and infant) on our Mercedes GLK. I do have the OEM roof rails for the 911 and do plan on putting the skybox on there one day if we take a long trip and need the room.
If you’ve installed please give me some feedback and post up some photos!
Thanks fellas.
Is this going on a 911? Do you have rails already? You can put any box on the rails. Go to a local shop and put a few on, looking for the right size/look.

I have a 991, yes and I have the OEM Porsche rails. Good call on trying different ones out!
obviously not a 991 but here was my setup on my old 997 Turbo. Not sure why the pics posted upside down - sorry. I think a roof rack is a great thing to have and is pretty cool. Really expands the use of the car.
Highly recommend Thule Motion XT Alpine. I have 3 little kids, and we’ve taken many family vacations with the box in our other rigs. Slight increase in wind noise, but most of that is from the crossbars. Pics are on my old 991.1 GTS and current 991.2 GTS.
Packasport are really great. They are fiberglass so are more rigid and durable than the traditional plastic Thule etc.
Ours is very low profile and hangs in the garage most of the time. It has recessed channels so as others have mentioned,
appears even lower profile when mounted. I use it on the 991 or the other cars depending on what we’re doing. It is probably
10 years old and still looks like new.
Packasport made a 90S box in the past. Shorter than their current offerings. This would likely be a great match for the 911 even though any box seems too big on top of a 911.
