Default Any 991 owners using a Durametric

Looking for a scanner, and particularly the Durametric. However the response from Durametric was that some functions will not work on my 2016 991.1. They indicated 2015 was the last year for the scanner and they had no plans at this time to upgrade the software.

Simply like to know if anyone has any experience with the Durametric on 2016 991 and what functions do not work. Tried the Schwaben 520 Pro but it would not recognize the VIN.

My Durametric works on my wife’s 2016 991.1S. DME report, service reset, and code reading/clearing work.

Good news those are the key functions. i understand that on that model vehicle no ECU or programming is possible and same with no over-rev report. Have you tried any of those functions?

Thanks !

I’m not sure what that means: it doesn’t parse.

You can - it seems - change settings, like which stereo head is installed, but I haven’t tried.

That’s what I meant by “DME report.”
