Just get in the habit of either pushing the Auto Start/Stop button the minute you fire it up or immediately put the car in Sport or Sport + mode, or even set up and individual mode that has it shut off.
Agreed - it's a PITA!

On the new X5 we had the same issue, not sure why manufacturers are forcing customers to use the feature if they don't' want to. I ended up coding it using the bimmercode app (aftermarket app to reprogram BMWs) that is available, not sure if they have something similar for Porsches.

I believe this would work for you. https://t-design9.com/memory_module.html. I have a 991.1 so no need for Auto Start Stop for me as I can control that, but I have considered it so I could always start in Sport.

Quick note the disclaimer for 991.2 and 718....it won't work for those modelsFor now, it does NOT remember [ Sport ] on '17+ cars (991.2 and 718) where steering wheel **** installed. If your 991.2 or 718 car have SPORT button in the center console

If you mean that the T-Design module won't work on the .2 then you are mistaken. I've been running it in my .2 for months.

I looked at installing the T design on my .2.
I don't remember all the details on why I decided not to, except that the hook up for my car, after looking at it closely, seemed a bit squirly. So I passed.
