Thanks. I'm not so smart about this. It looks like the "other guys" are posting better stage 1 93 octane numbers? Or am I misreading one or both charts?
I like my car the way it is, but wouldn't mind "more" of the same response curve if that makes sense.
No rush on my part. I'm months away from good driving weather and it gives me time to absorb the incoming new wheels into my play budget.

Thanks. May be beyond my tech skill level. Prefer an IOS compliant product from the start if possible.

Due to the fact that there's numerous unknown variables at play (dyno setup, vehicle setup, etc.) the best way to compare/contrast performance would be calculating percentage change in performance from the baseline values - both provide a baseline and tuned set of plots

Congrats! Let us know what you think once installed.

Absolutely! We publish all of our power gains in the Map Notes for each vehicle. Link to that here : https://cobbtuning.atlassian.net/wik...rera+Map+Notes

Below is a simple Stage 1 power graph showing both our 91 and 93 files against a stock pull on 93 octane fuel. We advertise gains as a percentage, as actual output can vary based on dyno, environmental conditions, etc. The percent gain should always remain consistent, though.

Stage 1 91
Peak Gains : +17% HP, +21% TQ
Maximum Gains : +27% HP, +27% TQ

Stage 1 93
Peak Gains : +16% HP, +29% TQ
Maximum Gains : +36% HP, +36% TQ

1. No ECU removal and ability to switch programs at will (APR said they’re also working on this too)
2. Ability to turn off the throttle blip for MT 991.2
3. please don’t limit updates/downloads for software to ONLY Microsoft products for the Accesport. Please include iOS as well so people don’t have to buy another computer just to update software for their car.
1. You'll have this functionality via an Accessport before the week is up.
2. This isn't something we're currently working on, but we can definitely look into it!
3. Already covered - Accessport Manager is compatible with MacOS and is the only program you'll need to update firmware, pull datalogs, or add/remove map files from Protuners/COBB, etc.. Link here: https://www.cobbtuning.com/products/...ssport-manager

Order placed today, and as usual I will provide a review when I have experienced it for a little while. I know there are other choices, which seem like very good ones at that; however, I had a Cobb tune in the past and was very pleased so I assume I will be this time as well.

Bob, we'd also be interested in hearing about your install experience and initial impressions as well. Thanks.

It should be here by the weekend so after the NFL games are over I will get it installed and report back; however, we are expecting a big storm and since I just detailed the car it will not be going out until it has passed.

Update!

Firmware to allow seamless install without having to remove your Porsche's ECU is NOW LIVE! All Accessports shipped as of yesterday (a few of you are in for a pleasant surprise) will now have the ability to install to your car right out of the box. For those with existing Accessports, simply connect it to Accessport Manager to perform a firmware update an unlock this new feature.

I ordered my Cobb AP tuesday afternoon and it arrivved at my office on Wednesday. Installed it last night after updating the AP from my laptop...the whole installation was probably less than 20 minutes. I thought I might really screw up the front door flash but it was easy to figure out. My 991.2 Targa 4 GTS has an IPD plenum, Soul Performance sport cats, and H&R springs. I really didn't want to ever remove my ecu, so when this update came out I jumped at it. So far the shifting seems much smoother and the response is amazing. In sport plus the car seems to be raw... looking forward to seeing how it adjust over time, but already considering a pro tune from Sam By Design.

Thanks Cobb for doing such an amazing job! My only complaint is the stickers that come with the AP wouldn't peel off so I couldn't place them on my window😔. This weekend I'm replacing the wheels with HRE R101s and then hopefully done modifying this car 😊

Did you load the Stage 2 map? I only have Soul high-flow cats so I assume I am stuck with Stage 1.

Mine should be here today.

I just bought a 2017 Targa GTS (took delivery less than a week ago) and was considering a similar mod set up with Soul Sport Cats, IPD Plenum, and Cobb AP. Like most I was hesitant to take out he ECU but now that its not an issue it's back on my agenda. Look forward to hearing more about how you like the set up. Anyway first post on Rennlist and happy to finally be a Porsche owner.
