Default SDV - Speed Dependent Volume setting

Hello everyone, on my previous 911 with base sound system, I had a setting for SDV after pressing Sound/Options. It’s quite useful as it increases volume with speed of the car.

My new (2013) has BOSE but doesn’t seem to have the same setting available.

Is there another way to do this on the Bose system?

Thanks.

I have a 2014 with BOSE and it has SDV (I don't use it though).

Here's a screenshot from the Good To Know app.

Do you see this setting on your PCM display?

I don’t on mine. I believe for Bose systems they replaced it with something called ‘Audio Pilot’, which is supposed to be a more accurate way to adjust the sound based on road noise.

I don’t think it’s very effective in my car.

From the manual:

BOSE:

Audio pilot®: When this function is active, the noise level in the vehicle interior is monitored and audio playback is optimized accordingly.

Base Radio:

Speed dependent volume: Volume is adapted in accordance with the driving speed.

I'm confident you're correct. I disabled it when I first got the car and haven't searched since (and carpooled in my Wife's car today so I couldn't run out and check)

The audio pilot on the Bose system is virtually useless. I can't detect any volume adjustment as the cars speed changes. This is true on all 991 models.

I agree! That's why I was hoping to find an SDV option somewhere.

How do they put this nonsense into production if it doesn't work???
