Is this totaled?

I’m with State Farm, maybe I should’ve let them provide the rental. As the other driver’s insurance (Geico) is paying for everything on the claim I went with Enterprise who they like to work with. It’s fine, until this is settled just need transport.
It’s going to Queen City if repairs are needed they will take care of them, they are authorized Porsche bodyshop and they have a very good reputation.

Will do Bob. I really need advice from the Rennlisters on this one. I’m meeting the Geico assessor at the bodyshop this afternoon I will update after.

If they don't write enough damage on the car without disassembly they may end up paying the shop to disassemble the car to check for additional damage and confirm frame details.

Speaking from experience....probably a total loss.
Right front wheel into suspension, into steering rack, into frame. PCCBs, believe it or not, were fine and no airbags went off in my case. Estimates went from $7k to $30k to $46k and then my insurance company stopped and said total loss.
A 17 year old girl pulled out making a right turn from a red light opposite from me (I was turning left on a green arrow) and swung multiple lanes over right into the front right of my car. She was found to be at fault.

Make sure you advise that only factory parts are to be used in the repair and note that even if the car is repaired the value has been greatly impacted.

If it's not totaled then I would dump it and go after the diminished value to replace it with another 911. Accidents like that tend to cause minor niggled forever.
Pics of Moles please. Those buggers are hard to get rid of.

It's totaled! Best outcome I think. The insurance assessor was a great guy he said it was clearly totaled even without a teardown.
Best outcome I think it wouldn't have felt as nice to me after repairs knowing it had been rebuilt.
Any advice on what to do when I get offers for the value?

I would guess with 4 airbags @ $2,500 each, fender, headlight, bumper cover, liner plus associated bits @ $10,000, wheel and tire @ $2500, unseen damage @ $5,000, rental reimbursement @ $1,500 = roughly $29,000. Most states limit diminished value claim at 10%. If the car is/was worth $55,000 less 10% = $49,500. Known damage plus rental @ $29,000. $29,000/$49,500 = 58%. Some states have specific rules as to when a car is considered totalled. Many carriers don't want to hassle with the potential for a possible further hidden damage claim that manifests itself later. On the other hand, most cars can be repaired back to factory specifications given enough $'s. Granted you may not want the car back but unfortunately it is your responsibility to prove the amount you have been damaged. Using the most expensive repair shop should guaranty a good outcome but insurance companies pay based on market rate only. All you really want to is to be in the same financial condition as before the accident. Cars can be replaced, people not so easily. The best advice is for you to be reasonable and to hold you ground.
