So, I read the whole thread (more than once, because it skips pages on mobile) and the only thing that I can’t find ans really wish you had posted are pictures of the original AC lines and a depiction of how they’re in the wrong place.

Do you have any pictures from when the work was being done?

thanks 👍

I wasn’t suggesting that a hood with NACA ducts is a better choice.

I was simply pointing out that they are called NACA ducts and not NASA ducts. 😉

Hey ZerOG, The stock air con lines run across the front of the body. Just a straight line from east to west. The GT3 has an Air box that attaches too the body, so the A/C lines are blocking that box from being mounted hard against the body. So you remove the GTS Air con lines, mount the air box to body (The locating pins are all there unused by GTS) and then I had to buy GT3 lines which wrap around the box.

The box and ducting channel the air after it has been through the centre radiator and vents it to above the car out of the GT3 vent, negating lift. Whereas GTS it just vents to below the car causing lift.

So you i understand that you don’t have any pictures, either before or after this change.

Mine is a 911S and I have a complete GT3 front bumper that’s simply been take off so everything that attaches to it is still on.

I’m trying to figure out exactly what’s missing, before starting the work.

If it changing the AC lines so they go somewhere else, I’d actually prefer getting them made locally by a race-part fabrication shop than OEM parts.

Quick update on progress. MoTeC have now scanned my car. It is doable. Its not cheap. Its pretty much the same cost as the bar, and there are always extras and hidden costs.
It will allow me to do full port injection and Flex Fuel. meaning I just top the tank up with E85, upto 100% E85 and it automatically adjusts. When not racing, top up with 98 and it adjusts back.
Saves worrying about the 50/50 mix all the time. I can have more power at the track, and more green miles on the street. OK, Even I can't believe I said that.

With MoTeC I can run motorsport ABS. That's another $15K, but worth it for the track. Then there's another $15 to up grade the turbo's. It never ends. But its part of the fun and the journey.

Brembo GTS BBK on GTS

Just a couple of pics to see progress.

This poor McLaren was scratching his head when he had it pinned down the straight and I just pulled out and over took him like he was braking.

Do you really need Motec for flex fuel? Guys do it with a stock Subaru ecu and a $100 sensor

Does APR or Cobb have any plans for flex fuel?

It depends, are you trying to buy straight from Porsche or 2nd hand? I know a few that are taken off 991.2 GT3RS when they received their weissach hoods.

Flex fuel is just 1 very minor benefit of MoTeC.

Full control over every parameter in the car is the real benefit.

Nothing hidden, nothing locked down, 100% full access to everything. And everything is in english with a table of contents.

No wondering where something is hidden.
It’s the only way to unlock every ounce of potential.

Not to thread Jack but Do you think the Motec will cure the high trq shifting issues that i'm seeing with a cobb pro tune on MS109?

I don’t think it will, I know it will.

No factory interference. You can set, adjust, change, delete everything.

The first thing to go is traction control. It is replaced with a true motorsport version.

I am thinking on adding motorsport ABS later as well. The MoTeC can even run my Tractive suspension better than my DSC module.

I will be adding port injection as well, before up grading the turbo’s. The Port injection will be so i can run 100% E85 with flex fuel.
