New 991 Guide
Hi Niez66, thanks for your kind reply. We are currently keeping our range of titles on Kindle only as the guides works brilliantly in that format and it is available for instant download. Most people have a tablet of some form these days, so it just as portable as a printed book with plenty of other advantages, book buyers are also very keen on fast delivery these days, so the ability get the guide straight away has proved appealing.
Thanks again for your offer

Just a reminder that the introductory offer ends on December 25th, but there is still time right up to the last minute to ask friends or family to buy the guide and they can send it as a gift (instantly) via email to your inbox, ready for some good Xmas reading reading... the ideal last minute gift

) so you get it free

instead and enjoy a Porschetastic Xmas.
Count me in for hard copy also. I get your dedication to e-pubilshing. Have you done any feasibility and cost analysis for printing on paper? Based on a quick look at some vanity printers, a full color 6x9 inch soft cover book with 250 pages would cost $20 to $30 each, in a run of a few hundred. Of course you have to add your other costs and profit to that.
So to all those that said they would buy a hard copy, how much would you pay? Up to $30 would be a no-brainer for me. Up to $40, probably. Approaching $50--maybe not.

Thanks for your post bkranz, we do fully appreciate the demand for a physical printed copy of the guide. We have previously (and very successfully) produced our Aston Martin guide (for example) in print form, but in honesty we are only a small specialist set-up and although we sold thousands of books over a period of time (due to the quality content, detail and accuracy) it became a handful managing print (volume, quality and on time delivery), stock levels and shipping worldwide, with time consuming queries when airmail could cause extended delivery times. We were (ironically for this thread) also being chased all the time to produce a digital version, so many buyers were demanding the convenience and benefits of a digital copy. Serious ill health affecting a key team member (my wife!) was the final thing that made us decide to try digital and it proved very popular, so we moved to become fully digital. That way everyone worldwide could get instant delivery and enjoy the same layout, images, great content as a printed version.
We appreciate it has negatives compared to a paper version and clearly many still want a physical guide, we get that and fully understand why you would want a printed book. But we still hope print fans will give it a try as it also has other positives - instant delivery - use it on multiple devices at the same time (phone tablet and computer) - pinch and zoom into images and text - search the whole guide for key words (ie PDK, Powerkit, PCM, etc) and you can also make notes on each page, plus bookmark pages of interest for ease of finding again. Thanks for at least trying it alongside your printed library and we will let print fans know if we do find a way to go printed again.
May I also take the opportunity to again wish you all a fabulous Xmas and a happy, healthy, prosperous and Porsche filled 2020

OK thanks for the reply. I do think you are leaving some on the table. Most 911 enthusiasts are not put off by a price, especially if it is something they want. I am sure there is some start up cost there and I won't assume to know what they are and you have probably done the math. Best of luck with your publication. Looks like a fantastic wealth of information.
