New 991 Guide
I'd be very happy to support your efforts if there was a book available, this looks very well put together!
Items like this have an additional experience enhancement by being able to hold a book, turn pages, etc. Speaking for myself, and I'm sure others, many of us have careers which involve us staring at a screens (laptops, phones, etc.)... I think you might be ignoring a significant portion of your potential audience by viewing this as an item of reference, rather than enjoyment. People are willing to contribute more capital to your efforts in spite of increased costs if you consider their requests into your production decisions (and price accordingly).

I do get your point, I'm not saying you are wrong or arguing against those that want hardcopy at all, so please don't think that. It does work for the big publishing houses that print in large numbers and distribute through every outlet possible, but unfortunately for us it isn't currently viable, plus we feel the format is the future in this connected world and as mentioned we can update very quickly to ensure it is as accurate as possible. Why not consider it as well as an alternative hardcopy you may be surprised once you get used to the format, but I fully understand if not and I'm used to bread and gruel now
.
Hi GR997S, cheers for the feedback, the guide is currently Kindle only. Our other titles have been well received in this format, with many prefering it once they have tried it. I hope this doesn't put you off as it is an enjoyable and informative read. Why not give the free download sample pages a try and see how you get on, your support is appreciated

Just a quick one, a Rennlister popped over a personal question and I thought the answer would be useful for others-
"Can I load this into a few devices? I usually use my Mac or Ipad at home. Thanks"
I'm pleased to say you can use the guide on multiple devices, you just need the Kindle App (which is linked to your Amazon account) on each one.
It means you can have a copy on your work/office computer and also on your iPad/Tablet, etc.

I haven’t bought a hard copy book in years. I carry an entire wing of a library in my tablet and phone. I fly an airliner across the globe without a single piece of paper in the cockpit. I’ve cancelled most of my magazine subscriptions...the ones I’ve kept are preferred as electronic versions.
Understanding your well thought out reasoning, I—for one—appreciate your “Kindle only” decision, and will be ordering my copy as soon as I leave this *electronic* site in a few minutes.
🤣👍🏼😎

And that is great for a weekend read not for something you may want to reference in the future. Unlike a quick read, this is all information available on the internet. If I have to go for my tablet to look up a fact...why wouldn't I just use google. OP, if this is just a hobby project, nice work. If you want to build something that lasts, you need hard copies.
I honestly get that many want hardcopy, so appreciate it won't be for everyone. This is our fourth indepth guide and the great thing is they have been enjoyed by lots of enthusiasts and also helped lots of buyers find the right car and model, which is great. I appreciate some will miss out on this if they must have a hardcopy, but I'm sure there will be other "printed" 991 books coming out in the future. What I can assure you is you can't just get this type of information by simply using Google in a few days or months even, there is vast amount of disinformation out there and it is incredibly time consuming. Great sites like Rennlist help avoid much of that, but to collate all the information within these 273 pages, which covers all aspects of these beautiful cars (in detail) would take you an age, in fact it took us well over a year and we had access to official data/information. They say time is money and the low cover price wouldn't cover much time and the quick download saves time waiting for the mail to arrive
!As the saying goes "one mans meat is another poison" so I understand this isn't for you.

The issue with an encyclopedia is that it is about a changing world...and again my entire point was somethings are better off being googled. This definitive guide was specifically timed to be produced at the end of an era. Grant's next work won't be another 991 guide, but I assume (and I hope for him) that we can expect that to be a 992 guide in about 7 years.
There is no right or wrong with this, if you want printed paper that’s fine, unfortunately that isn’t economic or practical for us at the moment. We hope people will support the time spent putting these type of guides together, as we believe they are worth the reasonable cost for the information contained within them, plus being an enjoyable read
and the digital format has advantages which many "get" . If you don’t we do understand and thanks for at least looking at it and giving things a chance.

Don’t have kindle, so had to download Kindle for iPad. I’m a tech genius.
Purchased the book. Looks great and some very vivid pictures. Looking forward to reading it.
One item, I saw the black edition car but I did not see the Endurance Edition nor the Rennsport edition
also, if you could include wheel offset somewhere in the book for versions models, that would be appreciated
Thank you.

Maybe easier for OP to just say we're working on it and let it be vaporware << joke
Curious to know what the economics are to put it into a hardcopy. I think the Porsche crowd is a different animal when it comes price sensitivity. They want tech in the cars, but hard good accessories as part of the overall ownership experience and has the disposable income to pay a higher price point for it. Personally for me, while the information is great as a FYI, it doesn't create a connection that a hard copy will.
Better yet, do a limited edition hard copy run and sell it for 2x cost. I put money that it'll be gobbled up fast.
