Would that magnet interfere with wireless charging on a home charging pad? I once had one of those vent phone mounts which required a magnet in the case or back of the phone also. That magnet would always interfere with the charging pad, and and I'd just land up tossing it... curious if this is similar or was my experience due to stupid user?

The screen does not stay on.

I haven’t tested it yet but I wouldn’t think so, since after all the magnet is used to connect to a wireless charger. But it’s possible. Will let you know when mine arrives.

I’m guessing the Amazon seller got a nice influx of orders from this thread alone. We should have considered a group buy. 😂

Magnet has no effect on phone using wireless charging. My issue is that my phone falls off whenever I hit a big bump at speed or take a fast turn (I have a fairly heavy phone case). I use this. Kinda of ugly naked, but looks fine once phone is in place - and very secure. Works great for me.

Seller contacted me to ask what vehicle. Wanted to cancel order because it hadn't been tested on a "2019 911 Carrera". He only knew it would work on a GT3. I explained we had been discussing it on a Porsche newsgroup with success. He still did not want to ship. Anyone else have this experience?

I got that email too but my ‘17 Carrera was good to go. Just have another family member purchase it and say you have a GT3.

He wanted to cancel mine too. I convinced to ship since there weren’t any changes between 2018 and 2019. He shipped. Just tell him again you know it works or you’re willing to test (which I did). After 3 emails he shipped it.

I decided to cancel mine because if I have to run a cable anyway to use wireless charging, then I might as well just keep the wired CarPlay.
I know it isn't exactly the same, but the purpose was to eliminate all wires. Also, don't like the magnetic cases..

I will be watching the outcomes for sure though..

Try a little harder

The T-Design9 Monaco Wireless Charger for me is by far the best mount I have ever used in the 991. Not only is it well made, it is one of the most easiest improvement for the car. My XS Max does not budge one bit through winding roads, spirited driving and bumpy roads. Vlad the owner is also a Porsche owner and enthusiast, if I was going to spend my money, Porsche owners who support other Porsche owners get priority.
