Comfort Entry/Exit Settings
Thank you,
Wayne
(1) While sitting in car with my key fob in hand and engine running, I setup all the adjustable driver settings according to my preferred driving position then saved them to the No. 1 memory slot. Then without changing any other settings, I adjusted the drivers seat as far back and down as it would go and saved the settings to the Key memory slot.
(2) My wife followed the same procedure with her key fob using the No. 2 memory slot.
Now when I walk up to the car and open the door, the seat automatically moves all the way back and down to its extreme positions with no action on my part other than opening the door. This makes for easy entry. I then start the car and press and hold the Memory 1 button and the seat is driven up and forward to my preferred driving position. Once the seat stops moving, then I latch the seatbelt.
When I bring the car to a stop and turn-off the ignition and open the door, the seat automatically moves back but only an inch or two. Unfortunately, it does not reposition itself to the furthest-back/furthest-down location. I believe that this behaviour is intentional to protect the backseat passenger. To overcome this I sometimes move the seat back manually before shutting the engine off.
When my wife and I are driving together on a road trip, the person not driving must remember to place his/her key fob into a Faraday bag. If we do not do this then the Porsche Entry & Drive system becomes confused as to who is really driving the car and makes screwball adjustments.

"Key" button stores exit/entry position
"1" is my driving position. "2" is my wife's on the 991TT and 95B-T with the reverse for her 981 (her 991S is "fully" manual).
Procedure:
Unlock car with my fob causing seat/wheel to move to "key" settings.
Press #1 to move to driving position.
When done driving, press "key" to move seat/wheel to exit position.
I devised this procedure because I often enter/exit with the engine running and thus comfort entry is useless.
