They fixed the door panels. It wasn't done at the Porsche dealer, and they repaired them rather than replacing them. So, I can't be 100% sure that it's a long-term fix. I had the PPI people take another look at the repairs, and they were generally positive. I got them to replace the tires with a new set of Pirelli P-Zeros. I'm going for it. Wish me luck!
Hope all the issues are taken care and you got your dream Targa. With regard to the door panels, we are all in this together (gosh, how corny) and it affects all modern 991 and 981 cars. It is just a design issue for allowing the side airbags to deploy. At least it is fixable/replaceable.
Of those, you might try the grey as black all-weather mates seems to get really messy (at least on my factory R8 ones i seldom use in that car).
Apologies, I never did take the pictures I promised earlier of the black cloth mats to post. I have a set of Porsche black as well as the Lloyd's which I bought from Suncoast last year when they had a Christmas deal on just about everything (20%?). Once you spray some Scotch-guard on the cloth mats, they should hold up well. The Lloyds are a thicker pile but don't seem to collect much more dirt than the OEM black ones. As I don't get a chance to vacuum them often, I just take out and shake every few days and generally they stay decent for daily use.
The all-weather ones are heavy and bulky (at least Audi versions seem to be) to get in and out but likely necessary for your climate it appears so worth it to do their job.
